Regulation and safety
For both brokers, what protects you depends on the specific company named in your client agreement.
Exness: operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. Exness's Help Center says there is no government-backed compensation scheme for its clients. See our Exness regulation guide.
JustMarkets: lists these entities on its regulation page:
| Entity | Regulator |
|---|---|
| Just Global Markets Ltd | Seychelles FSA |
| JustMarkets Ltd | CySEC (Cyprus) |
| Just Global Markets (PTY) Ltd | FSCA (South Africa) |
| Just Global Markets (MU) Limited | FSC Mauritius |
| Just Global Markets (VG) Limited | FSC British Virgin Islands |
Source: JustMarkets regulations, checked October 27, 2026. We did not check the regulators' registers ourselves, and which JustMarkets entity serves you depends on your country. Ask for the entity name before you deposit and verify it on the regulator's register. A group having a CySEC entity does not mean every client gets CySEC protection.
Spreads and commissions
Both brokers advertise a Standard spread from 0.3 pips (Exness Standard from 0.2). The headline figures are close enough that the real difference will come from execution, news-time widening and your pairs. JustMarkets' home page also lists average spreads for selected instruments (for example EUR/USD 0.7 pips and XAU/USD 2 pips on the day we looked); averages vary by time and account, so treat them as an indication.
For commission accounts, JustMarkets' Raw Spread charges USD 3 per side per lot and Exness's Raw Spread charges up to USD 3.50 per side per lot. Exness's Zero account has a different structure, with commission depending on the instrument; for XAUUSD the commission is USD 5.50 per lot per side on Zero and USD 3.50 on Raw Spread. Compare the total cost (spread plus commission) on the instrument you trade. See Exness fees and spreads.
Stop out, margin call and leverage
Exness: stop out 0% (20% for Kenya and Jordan entities), margin call 60% on Standard accounts and 30% on commission accounts. Leverage 1:2000 by default under USD 5,000 equity. See stop out and leverage.
JustMarkets: we did not verify its stop out, margin call or leverage figures on the pages we checked, and they can vary by account and entity. Look them up in the account specifications and client agreement for your country before comparing.
Deposits and withdrawals
JustMarkets says it processes deposits and withdrawals instantly from its side (within about one minute), with delays possible on the provider side, and states zero commission on deposits and withdrawals, though payment systems may charge their own fees. Funds are said to be held in segregated accounts and withdrawals use one-time-password verification.
Exness says it does not charge deposit or withdrawal processing fees, though banks and providers might, and that withdrawal requests can be made 24/7 with over 98% processed automatically. Both depend on payment method and verification. See Exness deposit and withdrawal.
Platforms
Both give MetaTrader 4 and 5. JustMarkets adds its own trading app; Exness adds the Exness Terminal and Exness Trade app. For setup: MT5 download guide and MT4 guide.
Islamic and swap-free trading
Both advertise swap-free trading. Exness applies swap-free by default to eligible instruments and to all instruments for residents of 33 Islamic countries, with possible overnight administrative fees on some instruments. JustMarkets advertises no overnight charges for all clients; read its terms for any admin fees. See Exness swap-free and Islamic account guide.
