Short answer: Exness says its entities do not offer services to residents of Canada, so a person living in Canada should not expect to open an Exness account. On the question many people ask, whether Exness solicits or markets in Canada, we found no statement from Exness or a Canadian regulator either way, and we do not claim one. Below is how to check any forex or CFD broker with Canadian securities regulators before you send money.

Disclosure: OnForex earns a referral commission if you open an Exness account through our links.

Sources: the Exness Help Center article "Can I verify an Exness account from a foreign country?" (updated September 29, 2026); the footer wording published on the Exness Kenya site (exness.ke), because exness.com blocked our automated access; the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) and CIRO websites. All checked November 7, 2026. We did not try to register from Canada.

Is Exness available in Canada?

No. Canada is named in the Exness footer among the jurisdictions whose residents its entities do not serve, with the USA, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia, Belarus "and others".

Exness looks at where you permanently and lawfully live (Help Center). A Canadian citizen who permanently and lawfully lives in a country Exness serves can be verified with identity and address documents. A person who lives in Canada cannot, whatever their nationality.

"Restrictions for my country (Canada)" and marketing in Canada

For Canadian residents the restriction is a full one, not a limit on a single product. Whether Exness or its partners market in Canada is a separate question. We found no statement on it, and we have not seen the full client agreements. If you receive a message or advertisement offering an Exness account in Canada, treat it with suspicion and use the checks below. Do not provide another country's address to get around the restriction; we give no instructions for that, and false residence details can get an account blocked.

How to check a broker in Canada

In Canada, firms and individuals that trade or advise on securities and derivatives generally must be registered with the securities regulator in the province or territory where they deal with you.

  1. Use the CSA's National Registration Search, a free tool covering registered individuals and firms across Canada.
  2. Look at the registration category. The CSA notes that registration tells you what a firm may offer, so a registered firm may still not be allowed to sell the product you are considering.
  3. For investment dealers and advisors, the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) publishes Advisor Reports and a list of the dealers it regulates.
  4. If the person or firm is not registered, the CSA says to contact the securities regulator in your province or territory.

CIRO's Advisor Reports cover advisors currently approved with an investment dealer. Absence from a list does not by itself prove wrongdoing, but with a cold contact it is a reason to stop.

What Canadian residents usually look for

Residents generally look for firms that appear on the National Registration Search in a category covering the product they want, and for a clear explanation of the legal entity, client money handling and complaint route in the client agreement. We do not name brokers here; a check on the day you decide is better than any list.

Scam warnings

  • Offers on social media or messaging apps from someone who says they can open an Exness account for you in Canada.
  • Pressure to deposit quickly, promises of fixed returns or "account managers" who trade for you.
  • Websites that copy a known broker's name and logo. Check the address against the registration entry.
  • Any request for your password, a one-time code or remote access. Exness tells clients never to share verification codes (OTP scams) and says its support does not use Telegram or Messenger for support chats (Official communication channels).
