Short answer: Exness says its group companies do not offer services to residents of the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia, Belarus and other jurisdictions. Residents of many other countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America can register. The final check is whether your country of residence appears in the Exness registration form.

Japan is a separate case: Exness is on the Japan Financial Services Agency's warning list of unregistered firms (April 21, 2023).

What changes from country to country

The trading platform and account types are broadly the same everywhere. What depends on your country of residence:

  • The Exness company that serves you. Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register.
  • Account currency. Some local currencies can be chosen as the account currency and others cannot. See each country guide.
  • Payment methods. Exness does not publish payment methods country by country. Check the Deposit tab in your Personal Area. Payments must come from an account in your own name; see deposits and withdrawals.
  • Swap-free status. Residents of the countries on Exness's Islamic country list get swap-free trading on all instruments. See the Islamic account guide.
  • Leverage and stop out. Maximum leverage depends on equity and on the entity; for example, Exness (KE) Limited in Kenya caps leverage at 1:400. See the leverage guide and stop out guide.
  • Verification documents. See the verification guide.

How to check whether Exness accepts your country

  1. Open the Exness registration form and look for your country of residence in the list.
  2. Register with your real country of residence; Exness says this choice affects which services are available.
  3. After registration, read the client agreement to see which Exness company serves you.
  4. Check your own country's regulator for warnings or rules on offshore brokers. Each country guide names the regulator.

You can try a free demo account before deciding anything.
