Short answer: Ugandan traders can start with an Exness demo account at no cost, and the Exness Help Center lists the Ugandan shilling (UGX) among its account currencies for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts. Exness does not publish payment methods country by country, so whether MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money appears for you is shown only in the Deposit tab of your Personal Area after you register. We found no Exness listing on the Capital Markets Authority Uganda website, and Exness's Kenyan subsidiary, authorised by the CMA Kenya, serves Kenyan clients, not Uganda.

We did not open a Ugandan account and did not test any mobile money deposit.

Does Exness work in Uganda?
The question "does exness work in uganda" has a practical answer: the registration form asks for your country, and if services are offered you can create the Personal Area, a demo account and a live account after verification. Because the Help Center does not publish a country list, treat the registration screens as the source of truth and do not rely on a forum post.
If you are Ugandan and live in another country, Exness's rule is based on residence: it accepts nationals of any country who permanently and lawfully live in a country it serves, with proof of identity and of address showing that residence. It does not accept clients who live where it offers no service. Registering from a country you do not live in does not meet that rule, and we do not suggest it.
MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money
MTN MoMo and Airtel Money are the two wallets most Ugandans use, so "exness mobile money uganda" is the search that matters most. Here is what holds regardless of method:
- Only the Deposit tab is authoritative. Exness says availability depends on your registered region, verification status and provider uptime, and that a method may be temporarily unavailable during provider maintenance.
- Your name must match. The SIM registration behind the wallet has to be in the same full legal name as the Exness account. Exness does not accept third-party payments.
- Fees come from two places. Your network charges its own transaction fee and may apply levies or taxes, and Exness says most methods carry no deposit fee but have minimum amounts. Read each method's fee line.
- Currency. The wallet holds shillings; if the trading account is in USD, the amount is converted at the rate at that moment. The currency you choose at the deposit step is the one used on withdrawal.
If you also want to compare how a mobile money method looks on Exness elsewhere in East Africa, see Exness Kenya (M-Pesa) and forex trading in Tanzania. Kenya is a different entity with its own rules, and its details do not apply to Uganda.
Minimum deposit, in shillings
Illustration at an assumed rate of USD 1 = UGX 3,700; your wallet or bank will show the real rate.
| Dollar amount | Illustrative shillings | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| USD 10 | UGX 37,000 | The size of a small method minimum, if a method has one this low |
| USD 50 | UGX 185,000 | A typical small start on Standard Cent or Standard, if the region allows |
| USD 200 | UGX 740,000 | The minimum first deposit stated for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero in some regions |
Rules to remember: the first deposit has its own minimum by account type and region, later deposits only need to meet the payment method's minimum, and the practical minimum also depends on spread and margin. Check Open account in your Personal Area for your figures, and read Exness minimum deposit.
A UGX account removes conversion when your wallet is in shillings, but the opening deposit still has to match the account's minimum. A USD account is easier to compare with price quotes, since gold and most pairs are quoted against the dollar. Choose the currency carefully: it cannot be changed after the account is created.
Setting up: demo first, then live
- Register with your email and choose Uganda as your country. The region cannot be changed later.
- Open the Demo tab in My Accounts. A Standard MT5 demo with virtual funds is a good place to learn the platform (demo account guide).
- Verify your account with a government ID, such as your National ID or passport, and proof of address (verification guide).
- Open a live account: choose the type, the platform (MT4, MT5 or the Exness Trade app) and the currency.
- Deposit from a wallet or bank account in your own name and start with a small amount.
Use the app guide for downloads. Standard accounts have margin call at 60% and stop out at 0%; high leverage (up to 1:2000 by default at low equity, 1:1000 from USD 30,000 and 1:500 from USD 100,000) means a stop-loss matters more than the leverage figure (leverage guide).

Contact, office address and login
People search "exness office uganda" and "exness contact uganda" often. The Help Center states that support specialists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu. The routes are a support-hub ticket (reply within 24 hours) and live chat once you are logged in. We found no Ugandan office or local phone line in the Help Center, so any "Exness Uganda agent" who asks for a fee, a password or a code is not Exness. Login is by email and password in your Personal Area; see Exness login and customer support.
Is Exness legal in Uganda?
Facts, kept short:
- The Capital Markets Authority (CMA Uganda) licenses securities market operators, and the Bank of Uganda supervises banks and foreign exchange bureaux. A search for "exness" on the CMA Uganda website on October 27, 2026 returned no results. We did not find an Exness entry on a Bank of Uganda list either, though that site did not show a usable search.
- So we found no Ugandan licence for Exness. Your protections would be those of the entity in your client agreement and The Financial Commission's dispute process, and Exness states that no government-backed compensation fund applies.
- Always read the client agreement for the entity name, and check the CMA Uganda and Bank of Uganda notices before depositing.
For the wider picture, see Exness regulation. The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is the tax authority; ask a Ugandan tax adviser how trading income is treated, and keep records of every deposit and withdrawal.
Time zone: East Africa Time (UTC+3)
- Tokyo opens at about 03:00 EAT.
- London opens at about 10:00 or 11:00, depending on UK daylight saving.
- New York opens at about 15:00 or 16:00, and US data usually arrives at about 15:30 or 16:30.
- Weekly close is on Friday around 00:00 to 01:00 Saturday, local time.
