Exness Lebanon: Dollar Accounts, Swap-Free and Legal Status (2026)
Exness Lebanon guide: USD account instead of LBP, swap-free status, is Exness legal in Lebanon, bank transfer limits, Arabic support, demo and market hours.

Short answer: Lebanon is on the Exness Help Center's swap-free list, so a client registered from Lebanon gets zero swap on all instruments with no separate Islamic account. The Lebanese pound (LBP) is not an Exness account currency, which matters little because most Lebanese savers already think in US dollars; a USD account is the natural choice. The harder question is how money leaves Lebanon, since bank dollar balances have been restricted since 2019. Start with the free demo, and treat the registration form's country list as the final check on availability.

Is Exness available in Lebanon?
The Exness footer says it does not serve residents of the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus "and others". Lebanon is not named. Because "and others" leaves room, the country list on the registration form is the final check. Exness classifies you by where you permanently and lawfully live, and you prove it with an identity document and a proof of address. A Lebanese citizen living abroad registers under the country of residence, if Exness serves it. See our guide to Exness verification.
Why a dollar account suits Lebanon
Exness lets you hold a trading account in USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, KWD, JOD, EGP and other currencies, but not LBP. For a Lebanese trader that is rarely a disadvantage:
- Gold, oil and the major pairs are quoted against the dollar, so a USD account removes one layer of conversion in your profit and loss.
- Many Lebanese households already keep their savings and pricing in dollars, so a USD account matches the money you can actually move.
- The account currency cannot be changed after you open it. Open a second account if you later want a different one.
Because of this, we do not give a pound-denominated example table; any LBP figure would depend on which rate applies to which funds. Instead, work in dollars. A 1% risk on a USD 500 account is USD 5 per trade; at a 20-pip stop on EURUSD, a 0.03-lot position risks about USD 6, so 0.02 lots is closer to the limit. Position size is covered in lot sizes and margin.
Moving money in and out of Lebanon
This is the part that makes Lebanon different from most country pages. Since the banking crisis began in 2019, many Lebanese banks have limited cash withdrawals and transfers abroad from dollar accounts, and the treatment of dollars held in the system has varied by account type. We do not track the current circulars, and they change. What we can say is general:
- Ask your bank, in writing, whether you can send a payment to a foreign trading platform, what documents it needs and what limit applies. The Banque du Liban (bdl.gov.lb) publishes the central bank's circulars.
- Exness shows its methods only in the Deposit tab of your Personal Area, according to your registered region, verification and provider availability. It does not publish a country-by-country list.
- Payments must come from an account or wallet in your own name. Third-party payments are not accepted, so a relative's card or an exchange shop's account will be refused.
- Withdrawals normally return to the method used to deposit. Withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method, and what reaches you depends on what your bank does with the incoming funds. See Exness payments.
- Keep records of every deposit and withdrawal: dates, amounts and bank statements.
If you cannot send money abroad lawfully, the demo account remains useful for learning. Do not ask someone abroad to deposit for you or look for another route; that breaks the own-name rule and risks your account.
Swap-free trading for Lebanese clients
Lebanon is on the Help Center list of swap-free countries. The status is applied to the whole Personal Area, so each account type has zero swap on all instruments. An overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments, according to Exness. To check, go to Exness benefits, Trading conditions, Swap-Free in the Personal Area. Read the swap-free and Islamic account guide before holding trades for days.
Legal position in Lebanon, in short
- The Capital Markets Authority of Lebanon supervises securities markets and the Banque du Liban supervises banks and the currency. We found no Exness authorisation from either.
- Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register.
- With no Lebanese supervisor involved, your recourse is Exness's complaint process and the dispute body named in your client agreement; see Exness regulation.
- For tax, consult a Lebanese accountant, and keep your statements.

Languages and support
Exness support runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu. Arabic speakers can write in Arabic through the support hub, and Exness says tickets are answered within 24 hours. French is widely used in Lebanon but is not on the published list, so French speakers should use Arabic or English. Platform terms such as spread, lot, margin and stop loss are in English; see what is forex trading for the basics.
Trading hours in Lebanese time
Lebanon is on UTC+2 in winter and UTC+3 in summer, so the gap to London and New York is usually steady, but the dates on which clocks change differ between countries and can shift in some years. Approximate Lebanese local times:
| Session | Lebanon, winter (UTC+2) | Lebanon, summer (UTC+3) |
|---|---|---|
| Tokyo opens | about 02:00 | about 03:00 |
| London opens | about 10:00 | about 10:00 |
| New York opens | about 15:00 | about 15:00 |
| US data (8:30 New York) | about 15:30 | about 15:30 |
The market closes on Friday evening and reopens on Sunday evening in UTC terms. Check the server time in MT5's Market Watch rather than assuming an offset, especially in the weeks when clocks change. More on Exness trading hours.
Accounts and platforms
Exness lists Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts. Pro, Raw Spread and Zero need at least USD 200 as a first deposit in some regions; Standard and Standard Cent are lower and depend on the payment method. A cent account helps if you want to test live-market behaviour with a very small balance. See account types. Platforms are MT4, MT5, Exness Terminal and the Exness Trade app (download guide). Default leverage is 1:2000 by default up to USD 29,999.99 of equity, 1:1000 from USD 30,000 and 1:500 from USD 100,000; see the leverage guide.
Demo account for Lebanon
Registration creates a Standard MT5 demo with a default USD 10,000 virtual balance that you can reset. Standard Cent has no demo. Because bank transfers are the hard step for many Lebanese users, spend the demo period working out your position size, stop loss and daily loss limit, so that when funding is possible you start with a rule set. See the demo account guide.
