Short answer: The easiest way to start with Exness from Algeria is a free demo account. Register with your email and Exness adds a Standard MT5 demo with USD 10,000 in virtual funds, with nothing to deposit. Algeria is one of the 33 countries where Exness applies swap-free status to all instruments, so a live account also needs no separate Islamic account. The harder part is funding a live account: Algeria applies foreign-exchange controls, and Exness has no Algerian licence.

Exness demo account in Algeria

The Exness demo is the same worldwide, and the reason it ranks high among Algerian searches is simple: it lets you test everything without moving dinars abroad.

How to get it

  1. Go to the Exness registration page and enter your email and a password.
  2. Confirm that you are not a US citizen or resident and choose Algeria as your country.
  3. Open My Accounts and the Demo tab. A Standard MT5 demo is already there.
  4. To add another, select Open Account, choose Standard, Pro, Zero or Raw Spread, then Demo, and pick currency, leverage and platform (MT4 or MT5).
  5. Log in to MetaTrader, or open the demo in Exness Terminal from the Personal Area.

Useful facts from Exness's Help Center

  • The default demo balance is USD 10,000, and you can reset it with Set Balance.
  • Standard Cent has no demo version.
  • Inactive demo accounts can be deleted and cannot be restored.
  • Demo money has no real value, so the demo shows how the platform works, not how you will behave with real losses.

What to practise first. Place a market order, attach a stop loss and take profit, close part of a position and read the margin level. Then run a week of trades at fixed risk, for example 1% of the demo balance per trade. Our demo account guide covers login errors and resets.

Exness support is available 24/7 in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu; we did not see French on that list, so Arabic or English is the way to reach support from Algeria.

Swap-free: Algeria is on the Islamic countries list

The Exness Help Center lists Algeria among the countries whose residents get swap-free status automatically. It applies to the whole Personal Area: every trading account type, with zero swap on all instruments. Exness adds that an overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments, so read the instrument specification. Check your own status under Trading conditions. Details in Exness swap-free and Islamic account guide.

Paying in from Algeria: the exchange-control issue

This is the section Algerian readers need most. The dinar is not freely convertible, and Algerian banks follow Bank of Algeria rules on foreign-currency transfers and card payments abroad. We cannot tell you which payment will work for you. What we can say:

  • Local bank cards (for example those issued under the national interbank system or by Algérie Poste) are generally built for domestic use, so check with your bank whether a card can pay an overseas merchant.
  • International cards may have limits on foreign spending set by the bank or by regulation. Ask your bank.
  • E-wallets and crypto depend on what the Deposit tab shows for your region and on the rules that apply to you.
  • Exness only accepts payments from accounts in your own name, and some methods need extra verification.

The Deposit tab, after registration, is the only reliable list of what Exness offers you; each method shows its processing time, fees and limits. We recommend that you do not use intermediaries who offer to deposit for you or to exchange dinars at unofficial rates. That violates Exness's own-name rule and exposes you to loss.

An illustrative conversion using USD 1 = DZD 135 (not a live rate; rates differ by channel):

ItemUSDDZD
Pro, Raw Spread or Zero minimum (at least USD 200, depending on region)20027,000
Stop-loss risk of 1% on a USD 500 account5675

See Exness payments and Exness withdrawal time; withdrawals usually go back to the same method you used to deposit.

We found no Exness licence in Algeria. The Bank of Algeria sets foreign-exchange rules, and COSOB (Commission d'organisation et de surveillance des opérations de bourse) supervises the securities market. We did not find a domestic licensing route for offshore retail forex or CFD brokers, and we did not find an official statement naming Exness. So:

  • You would not have Algerian regulatory protection or a local complaint channel.
  • Whether sending money abroad for trading is allowed for you depends on exchange rules; ask your bank.
  • Exness does not say which of its entities contracts with Algerian residents. Your client agreement shows it; see Exness regulation.

This is general information, not legal advice. Ask an Algerian lawyer if you need certainty.

Account types and leverage

Exness offers Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero. Standard and Standard Cent minimums are low and depend on the payment method and region; Pro, Raw Spread and Zero need at least USD 200 depending on region. See account types and minimum deposit. Default leverage is 1:2000 up to 4,999.99 USD equity, lower at higher equity (leverage guide). Leverage magnifies losses, and on a small account a few pips can use a large share of the balance.

Algerian time and market sessions

Algeria is on UTC+1 all year. The Tokyo session opens around 01:00 Algerian time. London opens at about 08:00 to 09:00 (it moves with UK daylight saving) and New York at about 13:00 to 14:00, so the London and New York overlap runs from the early afternoon into the evening, which suits people who finish work in the afternoon. Forex trades five days a week. See Exness trading hours.

Opening a live account

  1. Complete the demo steps above and confirm your Personal Area email.
  2. Verify with a national ID card or passport and proof of address matching your permanent residence. See verification.
  3. Open a live account and choose MT4 or MT5.
  4. Check the Deposit tab for the methods available; only use payment accounts in your own name.
  5. Install MT5, MT4, Exness Terminal or the app: download guide.

Taxes are administered by the Direction Générale des Impôts (DGI). Keep records of deposits, withdrawals and trades and ask a qualified Algerian tax adviser.

Practising on the demo: a four-week routine

Because the Exness demo costs nothing and needs no card or transfer, Algerian traders can use it to decide whether live trading is worth the exchange-control effort. A simple routine:

WeekFocusQuestion to answer
1Platform skillsCan I place, modify and close an order without mistakes?
2RiskDo I keep to 1% risk per trade for 20 trades?
3SessionsWhich hours in Algiers time suit my schedule?
4CostsHow much do spread and commission take from a typical trade?

Keep the same journal you would keep for real money: date, instrument, entry, stop loss, target, result and the reason for the trade. If you cannot follow your plan on the demo, real money will make it harder.

Friday and the Algerian working week

Algeria's weekend is Friday and Saturday, but the forex market is open on Friday and closes in the late evening (Algiers time) when the weekly session ends. That means Friday is a normal trading day for you even if it is a rest day, and the market is closed on Saturday and most of Sunday. Weekend gaps can open between Friday's close and Sunday night's open, so avoid carrying large positions over the weekend without a stop loss. Public holidays in Algeria do not close the global market.

Words you will see on the platform

Platform screens are in English, with the Personal Area available in several languages. These terms matter most: spread (the difference between buy and sell prices), lot (trade size; 1 lot is 100,000 units of the base currency on forex), leverage (the ratio between your margin and position size), margin level (equity divided by used margin), stop out (automatic closing of positions when margin is too low) and swap (an overnight financing charge, which is zero on all instruments for Algerian clients except for any administrative fee).

Scam warnings for Algeria

Fake brokers and "account managers" operate on Facebook and Telegram across North Africa. Red flags: guaranteed monthly profit, requests to send dinars or dollars to a personal account, and anyone who wants your Exness password. Exness does not ask for your passwords or one-time codes. Verify that you are on the official Exness site before logging in, and use the support hub for tickets.

Checklist before you try a live deposit from Algeria

  1. Confirm with your bank whether the payment type you plan to use is allowed to go abroad and whether limits apply.
  2. Check the Deposit tab for the methods Exness actually shows for your region.
  3. Verify your account with your ID and a proof of address so deposit limits are lifted (verification guide).
  4. Start small, and test a withdrawal early; withdrawals normally go back to the deposit method.
  5. Keep documents for each transfer. Never route money through someone else's account.
