Short answer: Senegal is one of the few countries where the local currency is an Exness account currency: the West African CFA franc (XOF) is on the Help Center list for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts. Senegal is also on the swap-free country list, so swap is zero on all instruments with no separate Islamic account. Exness lists support in Arabic, English and others but not in French or Wolof. Start with the free demo, and treat the registration form's country list as the final check on availability.

Is Exness available in Senegal?
The Exness footer says it does not serve residents of the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus "and others". Senegal is not named. The registration form asks for your country of residence and shows whether service is offered, so that screen is the final check. Exness works on residence: it accepts people who permanently and lawfully live in a country it serves, with a valid identity document and a proof of address. Senegalese nationals living abroad register in their country of residence, if it is served.
The XOF account: what it does and does not solve
Many Senegalese searches ask whether the franc CFA can be used directly. For Exness, the answer is yes: XOF is on the list, and it is a rare case among Exness's Francophone African markets, since Central African CFA francs (XAF) are not listed. An XOF account has these effects:
- No conversion on a franc deposit. If your funds are in francs, a deposit into an XOF account avoids the provider's franc-to-dollar step. Note that profit and loss on gold or EURUSD is still calculated in the quote currency and converted into your account currency by Exness; see Exness fees and spreads for the cost side.
- It cannot be changed later. The currency is permanent; open another account if you need a different one.
- Cent and XOF do not mix. Standard Cent uses cent currencies such as USC and EUC, not XOF.
- A fixed euro rate. The franc is pegged to the euro at 655.957 XOF per euro. A EUR account therefore has a predictable relation to the franc, while a USD account moves with the EURUSD exchange rate.
At an assumed USD 1 = XOF 600 (illustrative, not a live rate):
| Dollar amount | Illustrative francs | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| USD 10 | XOF 6,000 | A very small method minimum, where one exists |
| USD 50 | XOF 30,000 | A modest start on a Standard account |
| USD 200 | XOF 120,000 | The stated minimum first deposit for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero in some regions |
Rules for first and later deposits are in Exness minimum deposit.
Deposits and withdrawals from Senegal
Exness does not publish payment methods by country. Mobile wallets and bank cards are common in Senegal, but whether any appear for you is visible only in the Deposit tab of your Personal Area, depending on registered region, verification status and provider uptime. Points that hold for any method:
- Own name only. The wallet's registration or the bank account must be in the same full name as the Exness account. Third-party payments are refused.
- Fees from two sides. Your operator or bank may charge its own fee; read the line for each method before confirming.
- Limits rise with verification. See the verification guide.
- Withdrawals normally go back to the method used to deposit. Withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method; see Exness payments.
Senegal is part of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU), and cross-border payments are governed by regional foreign-exchange rules applied by banks, with the BCEAO (bceao.int), the regional central bank headquartered in Dakar, as the main authority. We have not verified how those rules apply to payments to a foreign trading platform, so ask your bank.
Swap-free trading for Senegalese clients
Senegal is on the Help Center list of swap-free countries, and the status is applied automatically to the whole Personal Area. Every account type has zero swap on all instruments, though Exness says an overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments. To check: Personal Area, Exness benefits, Trading conditions, Swap-Free. Read the swap-free and Islamic account guide before holding trades for days. Whether trading suits your own religious views is a matter for you and a scholar.
Legal position in Senegal, in short
- The regional securities regulator is the AMF-UMOA (Autorité des Marchés Financiers de l'Union Monétaire Ouest-Africaine), and the BCEAO supervises banks and payment systems with national authorities. We found no Exness authorisation from them.
- Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register.
- Without a Senegalese or regional supervisor, your recourse is Exness's complaint process and the dispute body in your agreement (Exness regulation).
- Taxes are administered by the Direction Générale des Impôts et des Domaines; speak to a local accountant.

Languages and support
Exness support runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu. French is the official language of Senegal but is not on that list, and Wolof is not either. Arabic is covered, which helps some Senegalese traders, but most will work in English. Tickets in the Personal Area support hub are answered within 24 hours according to Exness. Nobody from Exness will ask for your password or a one-time code (customer support).
Trading hours in Dakar (GMT, no daylight saving)
Senegal is on GMT all year, which matches UTC, so the offset to London and New York moves with their clocks.
| Session | Dakar, northern winter | Dakar, northern summer |
|---|---|---|
| Tokyo opens | about 00:00 | about 00:00 |
| London opens | about 08:00 | about 07:00 |
| New York opens | about 13:00 | about 12:00 |
| US data (8:30 New York) | about 13:30 | about 12:30 |
Since Senegalese time equals UTC, server-time conversions are straightforward: the market closes on Friday evening and reopens on Sunday evening UTC. Check Exness trading hours.
Accounts, leverage and platforms
Exness lists Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts; XOF is offered on all but Standard Cent (account types). Default leverage is 1:2000 by default up to USD 29,999.99 of equity, 1:1000 from USD 30,000 and 1:500 from USD 100,000 (leverage guide). Platforms are MT4, MT5, Exness Terminal and the Exness Trade app (download guide).
Demo account for Senegal
A Standard MT5 demo with USD 10,000 of virtual funds is added on registration. It can be reset, and Standard Cent has no demo. Use it to see how a franc-sized risk converts to lots: with XOF 6,000 at risk, roughly USD 10, a 20-pip EURUSD stop means about 0.05 lots. See the demo account guide.
