Short answer: Most people in Bangladesh who look up Exness want to try it with very little money. The route Exness itself supports is: register, use the free demo account with USD 10,000 of virtual funds, then decide on a live account. Standard and Standard Cent accounts have a low minimum first deposit that depends on the payment method and region, while Pro, Raw Spread and Zero need at least USD 200. Bangladesh is on Exness's list of 33 countries with automatic swap-free status. The legal position of offshore retail trading in Bangladesh is a grey area, covered below.

Where Bangladesh Bank stands
Bangladesh Bank is the central bank and the main authority for foreign exchange, and its rules push residents to use authorised dealers for foreign exchange transactions. We found no licensing framework for retail speculation on offshore platforms and no list of approved offshore brokers. The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission regulates the securities market, not offshore CFD brokers. When we last tried to open Bangladesh Bank's site it was under maintenance, so read its current circulars at bb.org.bd yourself. Our longer guide is forex trading in Bangladesh.
So an offshore broker such as Exness does not carry a Bangladeshi licence. Exness says it operates through several regulated entities, with yours named in the Personal Area footer (Is Exness regulated?); we could not verify which entity registers Bangladeshi residents. Record the name, address and licence details when you see them.
A sensible small-balance path
Because "how little can I start with" is the commonest question, here is how the options compare for someone starting small. These are the Help Center's account facts, not recommendations.
| If your priority is | Account worth looking at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Learning with no money | Demo (Standard, Pro, Raw Spread or Zero) | Virtual funds on live prices; Standard Cent has no demo |
| Smallest real position | Standard Cent | Trades in cent lots; spread from 0.3 pips |
| Simple costs | Standard | No commission; spread from 0.2 pips |
| Lower spreads at higher volume | Raw Spread or Zero | Commission per lot; USD 200 minimum |
Spreads can vary and widen with market volatility, news and market open/close.
The account types guide and Standard Cent guide give the details. Whichever you pick, a small deposit with high leverage can be wiped out by a normal move, so read the leverage guide and the position sizing guide first.
Taka and the cost of converting
The Bangladeshi taka is the currency you earn and spend in, but your Exness account will have its own currency, fixed when it is created (First-time deposits). Funding a USD account from taka means a conversion at the rate in force.
An illustration using an assumed rate, not a quote: at USD 1 = BDT 120, BDT 6,000 buys USD 50. A 0.01 lot trade on EUR/USD moves about USD 0.10 per pip, so a 30-pip move is about USD 3, or BDT 360 at that rate. If the rate shifts to BDT 130 when you withdraw, the same USD 50 returns BDT 6,500 even if you made no profit at all. That currency movement is separate from your trading result.
Mobile money: bKash, Nagad and Rocket
Mobile financial services are central to everyday payments in Bangladesh. Whether Exness offers bKash, Nagad, Rocket or bank transfer to clients in Bangladesh we have not verified. The Help Center says that the methods you see depend on your registered region and verification status, and each lists its fees, limits and processing times (Available payment methods). Check the Deposit tab. Payments must come from accounts in your name, so a wallet registered to a relative or an agent cannot be used. Do not route money through third parties to get around this.
Swap-free for Bangladeshi clients
Exness applies swap-free status automatically to clients registered from Bangladesh, on all instruments, across every account type you hold (Help Center). You can see your status in the Personal Area. An administrative overnight fee may still apply on some instruments, so check the contract specification of anything you plan to hold for days. See the Exness swap-free and Islamic account guide.
Your trading day in Bangladesh time
Bangladesh uses BST (UTC+6) with no daylight saving. London opens at roughly 14:00 or 15:00 local time, and the London and New York overlap, usually the most active window for major pairs and gold, falls at about 18:00 to 22:00. That means a typical working person in Dhaka trades after dinner, which tends to encourage staying up late. Set an end time and a daily loss limit. For instrument-specific hours see the trading hours guide.
Income tax
The National Board of Revenue administers income tax (nbr.gov.bd). We found no NBR page that deals with income from offshore CFD trading, so ask a Bangladeshi tax adviser how your gains and remittances would be treated. Keep dated records of every transfer with taka values.
The first week: a checklist
- Register, confirm your email, and add a working Bangladeshi mobile number.
- Complete the economic profile and upload identity and address documents. The address document needs to be issued in the past six months, and an identity card cannot double as proof of address (requirements). See the verification guide.
- Spend several days on the demo, using the demo account guide and the MT5 download guide.
- Write a one-page plan: maximum loss per trade, per day, and what you will do after three losses in a row.
- Only then open a live account and deposit an amount you can afford to lose completely.
Gold, major pairs and what Bangladeshi traders follow
New traders in Bangladesh usually start with EUR/USD and gold (XAUUSD) because the quotes are widely discussed and the news calendar is easy to follow. Gold on Exness costs USD 3.50 per lot per side in commission on Raw Spread and USD 5.50 on Zero, while Standard has none but a wider spread. Read the gold trading guide and compare costs in the spread list. The taka is not something you trade on a retail CFD account; your results come from dollar-based pairs and metals.
Taka history in plain terms
Bangladesh moved away from a tightly managed exchange rate in recent years, and the taka fell against the dollar over that period; the country has also arranged IMF support. Rather than rely on a number from a forum, read Bangladesh Bank's exchange-rate and inflation publications at bb.org.bd and the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics at bbs.gov.bd. The practical lesson is that dollar-denominated savings and taka costs diverge, so decide in advance whether you judge your results in dollars or in taka.
Holidays that affect deposits and withdrawals
The forex market keeps running on Bangladeshi holidays, but banks and mobile financial services slow down around Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha, Language Martyrs' Day (21 February), Independence Day (26 March), Pohela Boishakh (14 April), Victory Day (16 December) and the weekly Friday and Saturday closures of many offices. Eid dates follow the moon. Send money several days before a long holiday. Separately, US and UK holidays reduce liquidity and Exness publishes adjusted hours (Holiday trading hours).
How people in Bangladesh usually fund overseas accounts
Funding from a personal bank account or a wallet registered under your own national ID is the straightforward route. The risky route is the informal one: a Facebook or Telegram "agent" who takes taka and credits dollars. Exness refuses payments from accounts that do not belong to you, and informal transfers can also run into Bangladesh's foreign-exchange rules and money-laundering monitoring. If a payment method is not in your Deposit tab, do not invent a workaround.
Scams and warnings
Common patterns include trading groups that screenshot huge profits, "VIP signal" sellers, people who ask for your Exness password to "help with verification", and fake investment apps that let you see a balance but block withdrawals. Bangladesh Bank and the BSEC publish public notices; check them and ask a real adviser before sending money. Exness has no copy trading since 25 June 2026, so anyone offering to copy "Exness masters" is not offering a real Exness product.
Beginner path in taka
These figures use an assumed USD 1 = BDT 120 for arithmetic only; use the live rate. Spend the first weeks on the demo. If you decide to fund, BDT 6,000 is about USD 50, which on a Standard Cent account lets you trade cent lots. Risking 1% of USD 50 is USD 0.50, about BDT 60, per trade. Aim for a record of 50 or more practice trades with stop-losses before you move beyond that, and test one withdrawal early so you know how long the route takes.
