Exness Taiwan: TWD Deposits, Account Currency and Legal Status

Short answer: The New Taiwan dollar (TWD) is not on Exness's list of account currencies, so a Taiwanese trader would pick USD, another listed currency or a cent currency, and any TWD deposit or withdrawal is converted. Exness's support team works in Chinese 24/7, and Taiwan is not named in Exness's footer list of countries it does not serve, so the registration form is the final check. Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) has warned the public about overseas firms that offer financial services without a Taiwanese licence.

The TWD question first

Searchers ask "exness twd" more than any other Taiwan-specific question, so here is the exact position. The Help Center's list of account currencies for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero includes CNY, HKD, JPY, KRW, SGD, THB and USD among others, but not TWD. Standard Cent offers cent versions of USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, AUD, CAD, IDR, VND, JPY and THB, again without TWD.

So there are two ways to think about currency:

• A USD account. Gold (XAUUSD) and most major pairs are quoted against the dollar, which makes profit and loss easy to compare with price quotes.
• Another listed currency, if you hold it in your own bank account and want fewer conversions on that side.

Either way, the account currency cannot be changed after opening, and a conversion applies when a deposit or withdrawal is in a different currency. Your bank or the payment provider sets the rate, and the gap between buy and sell rates is a cost. Compare the rate before you transfer.

Does Exness accept clients from Taiwan?

Exness's footer lists the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus "and others" as places it does not serve. Taiwan is not named. Whether the form accepts Taiwan as your country of residence decides the matter, and the answer is shown at registration.

Exness requires a proof of identity issued by an official authority and a proof of address dated within six months, showing that you permanently live in the country you register from. A Taiwanese national who lives abroad registers where they live, not in Taiwan. An ID card cannot be used as proof of address, so a utility bill or bank statement is the usual document. Legal position of offshore forex in Taiwan

Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) supervises banks, securities firms and futures commission merchants, and the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) handles foreign-exchange policy. Facts we could confirm:

• The FSC has published public warnings, through the IOSCO I-SCAN database, that named overseas brokers do not hold securities, futures or advisory licences in Taiwan and that investors should refuse offers made in their names.
• We found no FSC or central bank text that licenses Exness to serve Taiwanese residents.
• Exness operates through group companies authorised in other jurisdictions; your client agreement names the one that serves you. Check Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. See also Exness regulation.
