Short answer: Côte d'Ivoire is listed by name (as "Côte d'Ivoire") on the Exness Help Center's swap-free list, so a client registered there gets zero swap on all instruments without a separate Islamic account. The West African CFA franc (XOF) is an Exness account currency for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts. The most useful decision for an Ivorian trader is USD versus EUR versus XOF, because the franc is pegged to the euro and moves against the dollar. Exness lists no French support. Try the free demo first, and treat the registration form's country list as the final check.

Searchers use several names: "Ivory Coast", "Côte d'Ivoire" and "Cote d'Ivoire" without the accent. They all refer to the same country on the registration form.

Is Exness available in Côte d'Ivoire?

The Exness footer says it does not serve residents of the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus "and others". Côte d'Ivoire is not named. Its place on the swap-free list is about swap status, not a promise of service, so the registration form, which asks for your country of residence, is the final check. Exness decides by residence, not nationality: you must permanently and lawfully live in a country it serves and prove it with an identity document and an address document.

USD, EUR or XOF: the franc peg changes the choice

The CFA franc has been fixed to the euro at 655.957 XOF per EUR. Because of that, a EUR account has a stable relationship with your franc income, while a USD account does not. The table shows what USD 200 is worth in francs at three illustrative EURUSD prices (not live quotes):

EURUSDXOF per USDUSD 200 in francs
1.05about 624.7about XOF 124,944
1.10about 596.3about XOF 119,265
1.15about 570.4about XOF 114,079

So if the euro rises from 1.05 to 1.15 against the dollar, the same dollar balance is worth about 9% fewer francs. Questions to ask yourself:

  • Do you earn and spend in francs? An XOF account removes the franc-to-dollar step at deposit and withdrawal. Trading results are still calculated in the instrument's quote currency and converted by Exness.
  • Do you trade EURUSD or gold? A USD account matches the quote currency of most major pairs and gold.
  • Do you hold euros? A EUR account suits that, and the peg keeps the franc link fixed.

The account currency cannot be changed after opening. Open another account if you want a second one. Standard Cent uses cent currencies, not XOF.

Pro, Raw Spread and Zero need at least USD 200 as a first deposit in some regions. See Exness minimum deposit for how the first deposit differs from later ones.

Deposits and withdrawals from Côte d'Ivoire

Mobile money and bank cards are widely used in Côte d'Ivoire, but Exness does not publish payment methods by country. Whether any appears for you is shown only in the Deposit tab of your Personal Area, depending on registered region, verification and provider uptime. General rules:

  1. Own name only. The SIM registration or bank account must match the Exness account holder. Third-party payments are refused.
  2. Check both fee lines. Your operator may charge a fee and Exness shows its own line per method.
  3. Withdrawals normally return to the method used for the deposit. Withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method. See Exness payments and deposit time.
  4. Verification lifts limits. Upload your documents early (verification guide).

Côte d'Ivoire belongs to the West African Economic and Monetary Union, whose central bank is the BCEAO (bceao.int). Rules on payments abroad are applied by banks, and we have not verified how they treat a payment to a foreign trading platform, so ask your bank in writing.

Swap-free trading for Ivorian clients

Côte d'Ivoire is on the swap-free list, so the status is assigned automatically to your whole Personal Area and every account type has zero swap on all instruments. Exness says an overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments. To see it: Exness benefits, Trading conditions, Swap-Free. Guide: swap-free and Islamic account.

  • The AMF-UMOA, the regional securities regulator, has its seat in Abidjan, and the regional stock exchange, the BRVM, is also based there. The BCEAO supervises banks. We found no Exness authorisation from these bodies.
  • Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register.
  • With no local supervisor, your recourse is Exness's complaint process and the dispute body named in your agreement (Exness regulation).
  • Tax is handled by the Direction Générale des Impôts; ask a local accountant and keep your statements.

Language and support

Exness support is 24/7 in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu; tickets are answered within 24 hours according to Exness. French, the official language of Côte d'Ivoire, is not listed, so expect to use English or Arabic. Be careful of "account managers" in Abidjan WhatsApp or Telegram groups who offer to trade for you or ask for your password. Treat both as red flags: no real Exness agent asks for a one-time code (customer support).
