Short answer: Exness lists the United Arab Emirates among the 33 countries whose registered clients get swap-free status automatically, so overnight swap is zero on all instruments for a UAE-registered Personal Area (an overnight administrative fee may still apply on some instruments). The dirham (AED) is among the account currencies, and Arabic is among the languages of the 24-hour support team. What we could not confirm is a UAE licence: whether Exness holds one from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), the DFSA in Dubai or the FSRA in Abu Dhabi is not stated in the Exness documentation we could read, so you should check the three public registers yourself.

Is Exness regulated in the UAE?

Searches for "exness regulated in uae" and "exness dubai" find two competing stories. Some sites say Exness is regulated in Dubai by the DFSA; others say it serves the UAE through a company licensed in Seychelles. We could not settle this from Exness's own pages, because exness.com blocked our automated access, and the Help Center says only that Exness runs several regulated entities and that your Personal Area footer shows which one holds your account.

What you can do in ten minutes:

  1. Register and read the footer of your Personal Area for the company name.
  2. Search that company on the register that applies: the SCA (sca.gov.ae) for onshore UAE, the DFSA public register for the DIFC, or the ADGM FSRA register for Abu Dhabi Global Market.
  3. Read the client agreement for the named company, its regulator and the complaint route.
  4. Treat claims on third-party review sites as unverified until they match steps 2 and 3.

If a firm is licensed in another jurisdiction and not by a UAE authority, its protections are those of that jurisdiction. That is a short fact, not a reason to skip the check. Our general guide to choosing among regulated brokers is Forex broker UAE, and the global picture is in Exness regulation.

Islamic account: swap-free status for the UAE

Exness handles this differently from brokers where you submit a request. For clients registered from the listed countries, swap-free status is assigned automatically and applies to every trading account in the same Personal Area, with zero swap on all instruments. To confirm, open Trading conditions under Exness benefits in your Personal Area and select Swap-Free.

Points worth knowing:

  • Exness says an overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments, so read the instrument specification instead of assuming the fee is zero.
  • Other clients have swap-free trading on eligible instruments by default.
  • Swap-free is a product feature. Whether it meets your religious requirements is a question for a qualified scholar.

Full details are in Exness swap-free and Islamic account guide.

AED, dollars and the peg

Choose the account currency when you create the trading account; it cannot be changed later. AED is on the list, and so are USD, EUR and GBP. The dirham is pegged at roughly 3.67 per US dollar, so a USD account has little exchange-rate risk for a UAE resident, but conversion still applies when your payment method is in a different currency from the one you choose at the deposit step.

ExampleCalculationResult
Deposit AED 3,670 into a USD account3,670 / 3.67About USD 1,000 before any fee or margin on the rate
Deposit in AED, then withdrawWithdraw in AEDExness says the currency chosen at deposit must be used on withdrawal
AED account, trade EURUSDProfit and loss converted to AEDA small conversion applies on each trade result

The figures are for illustration; use the rate your bank or provider shows on the day.

For payment methods, we cannot list them. Exness does not publish them by country, and the page depends on your region, verification and provider availability. The rules do not change: payments only from accounts in your own name, deposits any time of the day, and a full verification before payments work. Details are in Exness deposit and withdrawal and minimum deposit.

Leverage and stop out for UAE accounts

Equity in the trading accountMaximum leverage stated by Exness
USD 0 to 4,999.991:2000 by default (unlimited if conditions are met)
USD 5,000 to 29,999Up to 1:2000
USD 30,000 to 99,9991:1000
USD 100,000 and above1:500

Margin call is at 60% on Standard and Standard Cent and 30% on Pro, Raw Spread and Zero; stop out is 0% for all five types (20% for clients of the Kenyan and Jordanian entities). High leverage does not change risk per trade; a small stop-loss with a large lot can lose the whole account on a short move. Negative Balance Protection resets a negative balance to zero after a stop out. See Exness leverage and stop out.

Market hours in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (UTC+4)

The UAE uses UTC+4 all year. A simple day plan:

  • Asian session is already active at the start of the UAE day, with Tokyo opening at about 04:00 UAE time.
  • London opens at about 11:00 or 12:00 UAE time, depending on UK daylight saving.
  • New York opens at about 16:00 or 17:00, and US data releases usually arrive at about 16:30 or 17:30.
  • The weekly close comes on Saturday morning, because the forex market closes on Friday evening New York time.

Platform charts use server time. For instrument-specific sessions, see Exness trading hours.

Reviews, complaints and scams in the UAE

Exness says it holds client funds in segregated omnibus accounts, with regulated custodians, and that it belongs to The Financial Commission, whose compensation fund covers only FC judgments up to EUR 20,000 per client and does not cover trading losses. Before you rely on any review, check the date and whether the reviewer states the company on their account.

Typical UAE warning signs: a "manager" contacting you on WhatsApp or Telegram, promises of fixed monthly returns, requests to send funds to a personal account, or a link that is not the official Exness domain. Exness staff never ask for your password or one-time code.

Tax

The UAE does not currently charge personal income tax on individuals' investment income in general, though business rules differ and change. Check with the Federal Tax Authority or an adviser, and consider the tax law of any other country where you are resident.
