Short answer: Exness lists the Korean won (KRW) as an account currency for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts, but Korean is not among the seven languages its Help Center names for support (English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu). South Korea is not named in Exness's footer list of countries it does not serve, so the registration form is the final check. Korea has a specific legal framework for FX margin trading, and we found no Korean licence for Exness.

Does Exness accept clients from South Korea?
Exness's footer names the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus "and others". South Korea is not named. The registration form decides, and its answer is the only one that counts. Note the difference between the two Koreas: North Korea is named and excluded.
Exness requires a proof of identity issued by an official authority (passport, national ID card or driver's licence, valid for at least three months after upload) and a proof of address dated within six months, showing a permanent residence in the country you register from. A Korean citizen who lives permanently abroad registers in the country of residence. See verification.
What Korean law says about FX margin trading
Korea treats FX margin trading as a financial investment product. According to the FSC's July 2009 report, it is classified as a derivative under the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act, which means suitability tests and risk warnings apply to firms that offer it, and the FSC and FSS planned a reporting centre for illegally run FX margin operations, plus monitoring of overseas wire transfers linked to such trading.
Short facts for residents:
- Firms offering FX margin trading to Korean residents are expected to be registered under the Capital Markets Act. We found no Korean registration for Exness.
- The FSS publishes consumer warnings about unregistered operators, and you can search its site before depositing.
- Exness operates through group companies authorised in other jurisdictions; your client agreement names the one that serves you. See Exness's regulation page and Exness regulation, and confirm on the regulator's own register.
This is general information, and the 2009 FSC page predates later rule changes. For your own case, ask a Korean lawyer.
KRW account currency and conversion
The Help Center lists KRW among the account currencies for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero (it does not list KRW for Standard Cent, which uses cent currencies like USC and JPC). The currency cannot be changed after the account is created. When a deposit or withdrawal is in a different currency from the account, a conversion applies.
Gold (XAUUSD) and most majors are quoted in dollars, so profit and loss in a KRW account are converted each trade. Won amounts look large: USD 200 is hundreds of thousands of won. An illustration at an assumed USD 1 = KRW 1,400:
| Item | USD | KRW |
|---|---|---|
| Pro, Raw Spread or Zero first deposit (at least USD 200, depending on region) | 200 | 280,000 |
| Raw Spread commission on XAUUSD, per side per lot (USD 3.5) | 3.5 | 4,900 |
| Zero commission on XAUUSD, per side per lot (USD 5.5) | 5.5 | 7,700 |
| 1 USD move on a 0.01-lot gold position | 1 | 1,400 |
Standard and Standard Cent have lower first-deposit minimums that depend on the payment method and region. The Deposit tab shows what is offered, and payments must come from accounts in your own name. See Exness minimum deposit.
Support without Korean
Support specialists are available 24/7 by ticket (reply within 24 hours) and live chat in your Personal Area, in the seven languages above. Korean is not among them in the Help Center, so expect to write in English. Keep screenshots of errors, and never share your password or a verification code with anyone claiming to be a "Korean Exness manager". See customer support.
Trading hours in South Korea (KST, UTC+9)
| Session | Opens (Korea time) |
|---|---|
| Tokyo | about 09:00 |
| London | about 16:00 or 17:00, depending on UK daylight saving |
| New York | about 21:00 or 22:00, depending on US daylight saving |
Korea and Japan share the same offset, so Tokyo and Seoul share a morning rhythm and won and yen pairs move when both are open. The London and New York overlap runs from about 21:00 to past midnight, and US data typically arrives at about 21:30 or 22:30 Korea time. The week closes early on Saturday morning. See Exness trading hours.

After registration, a Standard MT5 demo with a default USD 10,000 virtual balance appears under My Accounts; MT4 demos are also available. Use it to practise sizing in won terms: decide how many won you can afford to lose per trade, then pick the lot size. Steps: Exness demo account.
