Short answer: Azerbaijan is not named in Exness's list of countries it does not serve, and two Exness Help Center details stand out for Azerbaijani traders: the Azerbaijani manat (AZN) is an account currency for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts, and Azerbaijan is on the list of countries whose clients receive swap-free status automatically. You can open a free demo account first. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan is the local financial regulator, and we found no sign that it has authorised Exness.

Exness in Azerbaijan at a glance
Exness's website footer says it does not serve residents of the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus, "and others". Azerbaijan is not named, but the list is not complete: the country list in the registration form is the final check.
| Question | What we can confirm | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Is AZN an account currency? | Yes, for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero | Help Center, "Trading account currencies" |
| Swap-free status | Azerbaijan is on the swap-free country list; status is applied automatically to the whole Personal Area | Help Center, article 18055079599132 |
| Support languages | English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu. Azerbaijani and Russian are not listed | Help Center, "How do I contact Exness?" |
| Demo account | Free, all types except Standard Cent | Help Center, demo accounts |
| Minimum first deposit | Low for Standard and Standard Cent, depends on method and country; at least USD 200 for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero depending on region | Help Center |
Swap-free status for Azerbaijan
A swap is the interest charged or paid when a position stays open past the daily rollover. The Help Center says clients registered from the listed countries, which include Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, are assigned swap-free status automatically. It applies to your whole Personal Area, so every account type you hold shares it, and all trading instruments on those accounts carry zero swap.
- Where to check it: Personal Area, Trading conditions under Exness benefits, then Swap-Free.
- Not the same as a free ride: Exness states that an overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments, so read each instrument's specification before you hold a trade for days.
- Why it matters here: many Azerbaijani traders look for a swap-free account for religious or cost reasons. For them the status is applied by registration country, so there is no separate Islamic account to request.
The full explanation, with the country list, is in our swap-free and Islamic account guide. Compare it with the Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan pages, which use the same Help Center rule.
AZN account: manat or dollars?
The account currency cannot be changed after you create the account, and conversions apply when you deposit or withdraw in a different currency. The manat has traded close to 1.70 per US dollar for years, a fact worth confirming at the Central Bank's published rate before you plan anything. That makes a manat account and a dollar account similar in value today, but remember that a fixed rate can change, and your bank's buy and sell rates differ from the official one.
| AZN account | USD account | |
|---|---|---|
| Balance shown in | Manat | Dollars |
| Pricing | Gold and most pairs are quoted in dollars; profit and loss are converted | No conversion on profit and loss |
| Deposits from a manat bank account | No conversion at deposit | One conversion at your bank or provider |
| Best for | Traders who track results in manat | Traders following dollar-based guides |
For payments, only the Deposit tab of your Personal Area lists the methods offered for Azerbaijan; we could not find a country-specific list on public Exness pages. Money must come from an account or card in your own name, and third-party payments are not accepted. Read the deposit and withdrawal guide.
Is forex trading with Exness legal in Azerbaijan?
Short facts:
- The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan licenses and supervises the financial market. The Financial Market Supervisory Authority existed until 2019, when its powers moved to the Central Bank, according to public sources we could not verify against the decree.
- The Law on Currency Regulation says foreign-currency purchase and sale should go through authorised banks. We did not verify whether or how it applies to retail CFD trading with an overseas broker, so ask a local lawyer.
- We found no Central Bank authorisation for Exness and no Exness-specific warning. Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register.
This is a short note, not legal advice. See Exness regulation and read your client agreement before depositing.
Demo account: how to start
- Register on the Exness website with your email and password.
- Choose Azerbaijan as your country. The region cannot be changed later.
- Confirm your email. A Standard MT5 demo with virtual funds is created in your Personal Area.
- For MT4, Pro, Raw Spread or Zero, use My Accounts, Open Account, then Demo.
Test position size and platform settings on the demo, and read the spread of each instrument at your trading hours. Spreads can vary and widen with market volatility, news and market open/close. More in the demo account guide, the app guide and fees and spreads.
Market hours in Baku time
Azerbaijan uses UTC+4 all year, with no daylight saving. The London-New York overlap falls in the Baku afternoon and evening. Times are approximate because London and New York change their clocks on different dates.
| Session | Baku time |
|---|---|
| Tokyo open | about 04:00 |
| London open | 11:00 or 12:00 |
| New York open | 16:00 or 17:00 |
| US data releases | about 16:30 or 17:30 |
| Weekly close | Saturday about 01:00 or 02:00 |
MetaTrader shows server time, not Baku time. See Exness trading hours.
