Short answer: Iraq is on the Exness Help Center's list of swap-free countries, so a client registered from Iraq gets zero swap on all instruments without applying for a separate Islamic account. The Iraqi dinar (IQD) is not an Exness account currency, so Iraqi traders choose USD, EUR or another listed currency. A free demo account is the safe first step, and Exness support is available in Arabic. Whether the service is open to you is decided by the country list on the registration form, which is the final check.

Is Exness available in Iraq?

The Exness footer says it does not serve residents of the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus "and others". Iraq is not named, but "and others" means a country that is not on the list can still be unsupported. The registration form asks for your country of residence and shows whether service is offered, so treat that screen as the final answer rather than a forum post.

Exness decides by residence, not by passport. It accepts people who permanently and lawfully live in a country it serves and can prove it with an identity document and an address document. Registering under a country where you do not live does not meet that rule.

Which account currency should an Iraqi trader pick?

The Exness account currency list covers many currencies, such as USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, KWD, JOD and EGP. It does not include IQD, so you cannot hold a dinar trading account. The currency is permanent once chosen; to change it you open a new account.

  • USD matches how gold and most major pairs are priced, and it is the currency in which many Iraqi traders already think.
  • EUR can suit you if your savings or bank account is in euros.
  • Whatever you choose, a deposit in a different currency is converted at the payment provider's rate. Check that rate before you send money.

Illustration at an assumed USD 1 = IQD 1,300 (not a live rate; your bank or exchange will quote its own):

Dollar amountIllustrative dinarsWhat it represents
USD 10IQD 13,000A very small method minimum, where one exists
USD 50IQD 65,000A modest start on a Standard or Standard Cent account
USD 200IQD 260,000The stated minimum first deposit for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero in some regions

Rules apply to the first deposit by account type and region; later deposits only need to meet the payment method's minimum. Read Exness minimum deposit for the full picture.

Swap-free trading for clients registered in Iraq

Iraq appears on the Help Center list of swap-free countries. The status is applied to your whole Personal Area, so every account type you hold has zero swap on all instruments, and there is nothing to request. Exness adds that an overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments. To see your status, open the Personal Area, then Exness benefits, Trading conditions and Swap-Free. The mechanics are in the swap-free and Islamic account guide.

Swap-free is a cost feature, not a religious ruling. Whether a particular trading arrangement fits your own beliefs is for you and a scholar to decide.

Deposits and withdrawals from Iraq

Exness does not publish its payment methods country by country. What you see depends on your registered region, your verification status and provider availability, and it appears only in the Deposit tab of your Personal Area. Points that hold whichever method you use:

  1. Your own name. Exness accepts payments only from accounts and wallets in your own name; third-party payments are refused.
  2. Conversion. Dinar funds are converted when you pay in a currency other than your account's. Compare the provider's rate with a rate you can trust.
  3. Limits before verification. Deposit limits are lower until your documents are approved. See the verification guide.
  4. Withdrawals normally go back to the method you used to deposit. Withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method. More in Exness payments and withdrawal time.

Ask your Iraqi bank in advance whether it allows payments to foreign trading platforms, and what documents it wants for a transfer abroad. Rules for sending dollars out of Iraq are set by the Central Bank of Iraq and applied by individual banks, and they have changed more than once. Do not use another person's account to get around a refusal.

  • The Central Bank of Iraq (cbi.iq) supervises banks and foreign-exchange activity, and the Iraqi Securities Commission supervises the Iraqi securities market.
  • We found no Exness authorisation from an Iraqi authority. Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register.
  • That means there is no Iraqi regulator you could complain to about an offshore broker, so your recourse is the Exness complaints route and the dispute body named in your agreement. See Exness regulation.
  • Taxes on trading income are handled by the General Commission for Taxes; ask a local accountant, and keep a record of every deposit and withdrawal.

This is general information, not legal advice.

Language and support

Exness lists 24/7 support in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu. Arabic is therefore covered for Iraqi clients. Kurdish speakers will use Arabic or English. Tickets in the Personal Area support hub are answered within 24 hours according to Exness, and live chat is available once you are logged in. Nobody from Exness should ask for your password or a one-time code; see customer support.

Market hours in Iraq time (UTC+3, no daylight saving)

Iraq stays on UTC+3 all year, so the gap to London and New York moves with their clocks, not yours:

SessionIraq time in northern winterIraq time in northern summer
Tokyo opensabout 03:00about 03:00
London opensabout 11:00about 10:00
New York opensabout 16:00about 15:00
US data releases (8:30 New York)about 16:30about 15:30

Iraq's weekend falls on Friday and Saturday, but the forex week runs from Sunday evening to Friday evening in UTC terms. That means Friday is a local day off while the market is still open, and Sunday is a working day in Iraq before the market has reopened. Plan around that, and avoid holding a large position into the Friday close. Confirm the exact opening and closing times on Exness trading hours.

Accounts, leverage and platforms

Exness offers Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts; see account types. Leverage depends on equity: 1:2000 by default up to USD 29,999.99 of equity, 1:1000 from USD 30,000 and 1:500 from USD 100,000. A 0.01-lot EURUSD position at an illustrative price near 1.10 has a notional value of about USD 1,100, so margin is roughly USD 2.20 at 1:500 and USD 0.55 at 1:2000. High leverage makes losses bigger too, so a stop loss matters more than the leverage figure (leverage guide). Platforms are MT4, MT5, Exness Terminal in the browser and the Exness Trade app for Android and iOS (download guide).

Demo account for Iraq

On registration Exness adds a Standard MT5 demo with a default USD 10,000 virtual balance, which you can reset. Standard Cent has no demo. A demo shows the order window, how margin changes with lot size and how the spread looks on the pairs you want to trade. Run it for a few weeks before real money; see the demo account guide.
