Exness Mongolia: MNT Conversion, FRC Rules, Demo and Account

Short answer: The Mongolian tugrik (MNT) is not on Exness's list of account currencies, so a trader in Mongolia would choose USD or another listed currency and have MNT converted at deposit and withdrawal. Mongolian is not among Exness's support languages (English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu), and Mongolia is not named in Exness's footer list of countries it does not serve, so the registration form is the final check. The Financial Regulatory Commission (FRC) licenses securities-market firms; we found no FRC licence for Exness.

MNT, USD and the cost of conversion

Searchers type "exness mnt" and "exness mongolia deposit". The Help Center's account-currency list for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero covers dozens of currencies, including CNY, JPY, KRW, KZT, UZS and USD, but not MNT. Standard Cent offers cent versions of USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, AUD, CAD, IDR, VND, JPY and THB, also without MNT.

So tugrik funds are converted by your bank or the payment provider on the way in and out, and the buy-sell gap is a cost to compare before you transfer. The currency cannot be changed after the account is created. Many Mongolian traders choose USD because gold (XAUUSD) and most majors are quoted in dollars, and mining and trade in Mongolia lean on dollar pricing.

Does Exness accept clients from Mongolia?

Exness's footer names the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus "and others". Mongolia, which lies between Russia and China, is not named. Because of that "and others", the registration form is the final check. Exness requires a proof of identity from an official authority and a proof of address dated within six months showing permanent residence in the country you register from. An ID card does not work as proof of address; a utility bill, bank statement or bank reference letter can, with your full name, address and issue date visible. See verification.

Legal position of offshore forex in Mongolia

Two institutions matter. The Financial Regulatory Commission (FRC) supervises the securities market and non-bank financial services, and the Bank of Mongolia handles monetary and foreign-exchange policy. One legal commentary says the FRC enforces the Securities Market Law, which requires a licence for entities offering securities or derivatives trading. Comparison sites say the FRC does not license offshore forex brokers directly, but we could not confirm that from an official source.

In short:

• We found no FRC or Bank of Mongolia licence for Exness and no official text that either permits or bans Mongolian residents from using offshore brokers. The position is unclear.

Mongolia moved to a single year-round time zone, UTC+8, in 2017, the same offset as Beijing, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
