Short answer: For traders in Pakistan the question that sets Exness apart is the overnight swap. Exness's Help Center lists Pakistan among 33 countries whose registered clients get swap-free status applied automatically, covering all instruments on every account in the Personal Area. That makes holding positions overnight simpler for traders who avoid interest. Everything else, including the minimum deposit and which wallets work for deposits, depends on what your Personal Area shows after registration. Standard and Standard Cent start low; Pro, Raw Spread and Zero need at least USD 200.

Swap-free for Pakistani clients, and the small print

Exness describes the status as automatic for clients registered from its listed Islamic countries; no separate application is required, and you can check it in the Personal Area under Trading conditions, then Swap-Free (Swap-free status (Islamic countries)). Two cautions follow. Exness notes that an overnight administrative fee may apply on some instruments, so zero swap does not always mean zero holding cost. And the status is tied to your registered country, so it is another reason to register honestly with your real address. Details are in our Exness swap-free and Islamic account guide.

Rupees in, dollars traded: how PKR conversion works

Your account currency is chosen at account creation and cannot be changed (First-time deposits). If you hold a USD account, every rupee you send is converted, and the rate you receive is a cost in addition to spreads. Exness advises depositing in your account's currency where you can, to avoid conversion charges, and checking the rate shown before you confirm.

A worked example, using an assumed rate that is not a quote: if USD 1 were PKR 280, a PKR 28,000 deposit would buy USD 100. A 20-pip move on EUR/USD with a 0.1 lot is roughly USD 20, about PKR 5,600 at that rate. The PKR value of the same dollars on the day you withdraw can be higher or lower. Always compare dollars and rupees.

Wallets, banks and Raast: what to check

Pakistan's digital payments landscape includes mobile wallets such as JazzCash and Easypaisa, bank apps, and the instant payment system Raast. Whether Exness offers any of them to you we have not verified, and we do not want you to assume it. The Help Center says that availability depends on your registered region and verification status, and that each method displays fees, limits and processing time (Available payment methods). Look at the Deposit tab once you have registered. Payments must come from accounts in your own name; a family member's wallet will be refused. Sort verification out before depositing, as limits lift only after it (verification guide).

What the SECP and State Bank say, and what we could not find

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan regulates capital markets, and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) oversees foreign exchange. When we searched the SECP site for "Exness" we got no results (secp.gov.pk), so we found neither a licence nor a warning. We could not confirm from official sources that foreign online forex brokers are formally allowed to serve Pakistani residents. Read the current notices on secp.gov.pk and the SBP website yourself. Wider context: forex trading in Pakistan and best forex brokers in Pakistan.

Exness says it operates through various regulated entities, and the one holding your account appears in the Personal Area footer (Is Exness regulated?). We could not verify which entity registers Pakistani residents.

Trading sessions in Pakistan time

Pakistan is on PKT (UTC+5) all year. The forex market runs from Sunday night in New York to Friday evening. These are approximate Pakistan times, which move by an hour with daylight saving elsewhere:

SessionApproximate PKT
Tokyo and Sydneyovernight to early morning
London openfrom about 12:00 or 13:00
London and New York overlapabout 17:00 to 21:00
US data releases (typical)about 17:30 or 18:30

Evening hours suit people with day jobs, but late-night positions without a stop-loss are a common source of losses. See the trading hours guide.

Choosing between account types without the table

A trader in Pakistan watching cost per trade usually weighs Standard (no commission, low entry) against Raw Spread or Zero (lower minimum spread, commission per lot, USD 200 minimum). Spreads can vary and widen with market volatility, news and market open/close. On gold, commission is USD 3.50 per lot per side on Raw Spread and USD 5.50 on Zero. The account types guide compares all five, and the Standard Cent guide covers the smallest option. Leverage depends on equity, with up to 1:2000 under USD 5,000 in the global rules; the leverage guide explains the tiers and your entity may cap it lower.

Tax in Pakistan

Taxes are administered by the Federal Board of Revenue (fbr.gov.pk). We found no FBR page that treats retail CFD income specifically, so how yours is taxed depends on your circumstances. Ask a Pakistani tax adviser, and keep deposits, withdrawals and closed-trade history with PKR values on each date.

Getting started

Register with email, confirm it, add a phone number working in Pakistan, complete the economic profile, and upload a CNIC, passport or licence plus a utility bill or bank statement issued in the past six months (document requirements). Practise on a demo first, then fund the live account. Urdu is among the support languages listed in the Help Center.

The Exness demo for Pakistani learners

Registration gives you a Standard MT5 demo with USD 10,000 virtual funds. You can add demos for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero. Platforms are covered in the MT4 guide and mobile app guide; the demo account guide has the click path.

Gold, the rupee and why Pakistani traders watch both

Gold (XAUUSD) is one of the instruments Pakistani traders talk about most, partly because gold is a familiar store of value at home and partly because it reacts strongly to US data released in the Pakistani evening. On Exness, gold commission is USD 3.50 per lot per side on Raw Spread and USD 5.50 on Zero; Standard has no commission but a wider spread. Our gold trading guide covers the instrument, and the spread list shows how costs compare. Pairs involving the dollar (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY) are the other common starting point. Pairs involving the rupee itself are not what a retail CFD account is built for, so do not expect to speculate on PKR directly.

Currency history matters for planning. The rupee lost a lot of value against the dollar during the 2022 and 2023 balance-of-payments stress, and Pakistan has relied on IMF programmes in recent years. Read the State Bank of Pakistan's current exchange-rate and inflation data at sbp.org.pk and the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics at pbs.gov.pk rather than trusting a figure quoted by a forum. Why it matters for a trader: if you hold dollars in an Exness account while prices rise at home, the rupee value of those dollars is what you actually spend.

Pakistani holidays and the forex week

Pakistani public holidays do not close the forex market. They affect you in two ways. First, banks and wallet providers close, so a deposit or withdrawal started before Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha, Pakistan Day (23 March) or Independence Day (14 August) can take longer to arrive. The Eid dates depend on moon sighting and are confirmed shortly before. Second, the market itself thins out on US and UK holidays, and Exness publishes adjusted hours for them (Holiday trading hours). Plan transfers a few days before a long holiday and avoid opening large positions into reduced liquidity.

How Pakistanis typically fund brokers, in general terms

Traders in Pakistan usually fund international accounts from a personal bank account, a debit card or a mobile wallet linked to their own CNIC. Peer-to-peer or "agent" deals, where a third party takes rupees and sends dollars, are common on social media and are where problems start: Exness accepts payments only from accounts in the client's own name, and funds from a third party can be refused or frozen. Stick to what your Deposit tab shows.

Scams and warnings to know

Typical Pakistani scam patterns include "forex academies" selling expensive signal groups, WhatsApp "managers" who show fake profit screenshots, and fake Exness support accounts on Telegram that ask for your login or a "verification fee". The SECP publishes warnings about unlicensed investment schemes on secp.gov.pk; read them. Exness lists its official channels in the Help Center (official communication channels), and its copy and social trading products ended on 25 June 2026, so anyone selling "copy trading with Exness" is selling something that does not exist.

A beginner path with rupee amounts

These amounts use an assumed USD 1 = PKR 280 purely for arithmetic; use the live rate. Week one to three: demo only, USD 10,000 virtual balance, no rupees at risk. If you then fund, a first deposit of PKR 14,000 would be about USD 50 on a Standard or Standard Cent account, subject to the minimum for your payment method. Risking 1% of USD 50 per trade is USD 0.50, or about PKR 140, which is why cent lots exist. Keep the first month small, withdraw a small amount early to confirm the route works, and only then think about scaling up.
