Exness Philippines: Legal Status, GCash/Maya Deposits, PHP (2026)

Short answer: Filipino traders can register with Exness by choosing the Philippines as their country, and the Exness Help Center lists the Philippine peso (PHP) among its account currencies for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts. Which payment methods you can use, including GCash or Maya, is not published as a country list: it is shown only in the Deposit and Withdrawal tabs of your Personal Area for your registered region. On the legal side, a news report from January 2026 says the SEC Philippines warned the public about Exness Global, so read the regulation section below before you fund an account.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC Philippines) supervises securities and investment solicitation, and the BSP supervises banks and foreign exchange dealers. The facts as we found them:

  • A January 2026 report in the Philippine Daily Inquirer (business.inquirer.net/567948) said the SEC warned the public against Exness Global and HF Markets for soliciting investments without a licence.
  • We could not read the advisory on sec.gov.ph on October 27, 2026, because the website blocks automated access. Search the SEC advisories page for "Exness" yourself and read the date and wording.
  • Exness states that it operates several regulated entities and that the footer of your Personal Area shows which one holds your account (Help Center: Is Exness regulated?).
  • Exness is a member of The Financial Commission, an external dispute resolution body, and states that no government-backed compensation scheme applies to its clients.

This is a short factual note, not legal advice. For the wider rules, see forex trading in the Philippines and our Exness regulation guide.

GCash and Maya: what to check before you deposit

Searches such as "exness gcash deposit" and "exness maya" come up often because most Filipinos keep their spare cash in an e-wallet. The honest answer is in two parts.

What is certain. Exness says payment methods depend on your registered region, your verification status and provider availability, and that you can only use a method shown in the Deposit tab. Third-party payments are not allowed, so the wallet or bank account must be registered in the same full legal name as your Exness account. Deposits are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What we could not confirm. We cannot say from public documentation that GCash, Maya, an InstaPay or PESONet bank transfer, or a card is offered to Philippine clients today. Exness does not publish a country-by-country list, and our attempts to read the exness.com payments pages were blocked. Therefore:

  1. Register with the Philippines as your country.
  2. Open the Deposit tab and read the list. Each method shows its processing time, fee and the minimum and maximum amount.
  3. If GCash or Maya is listed, open its FAQ inside the method for the steps. If it is not listed, use another method shown, from an account in your own name.
  4. Make a small first test and a small test withdrawal before moving a larger amount.

The deposit currency matters. Exness states that the currency you choose during a deposit must be used again on withdrawal, and exchange rates apply at the moment of the transaction. Most Philippine e-wallets hold pesos, so a PHP deposit into a USD account is converted; check the rate shown before you confirm. Our deposit and withdrawal guide explains the rules, and Exness withdrawal time covers what to expect.

Minimum deposit in pesos

Exness does not publish one minimum for the Philippines. The Help Center says the practical minimum depends on four things: the account type, the payment method, the region and market conditions. The first deposit has its own minimum, and later deposits only need to meet the payment method's minimum. To see yours, log in, go to Trading, then Accounts, then Open account.

The table converts dollar amounts into pesos at an illustrative rate of USD 1 = PHP 58. Use today's rate from your bank or e-wallet; this is not a forecast.

Dollar amountIllustrative pesosWhat it means
USD 10PHP 580Typical order of magnitude for a small payment-method minimum, if a method has one this low
USD 50PHP 2,900Small Standard Cent or Standard start, if the region allows
USD 200PHP 11,600The minimum first deposit stated for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero in some regions
USD 1,000PHP 58,000Illustration only: required margin depends on the instrument and leverage

Further detail on all regions is in Exness minimum deposit.

Time zone: trading hours in Manila (UTC+8)

The Philippines uses UTC+8 all year with no daylight saving, while the London and New York sessions move by an hour with their own clocks. In Manila:

  • Tokyo opens at about 08:00, a busy window for USDJPY and AUDUSD.
  • London opens at about 15:00 or 16:00, depending on UK daylight saving.
  • New York opens at about 20:00 or 21:00.
  • US data releases such as non-farm payrolls usually arrive around 20:30 or 21:30, so many Filipino traders trade after the working day.
  • Weekends: the market closes on Friday night New York time, which is early Saturday morning in Manila.

Platform charts use server time, not Philippine time, so convert before you set alerts. See Exness trading hours.

Opening a demo and then a live account from the Philippines

  1. Register with your email and choose the Philippines as your country. The region cannot be changed afterwards.
  2. Open the Demo tab in My Accounts. A free demo with virtual funds is available (see the demo account guide).
  3. Verify your account with a government ID and proof of address. See Exness verification. Exness says verification is required before payments work and lifts deposit limits.
  4. Open a live account, pick the platform (MT4 or MT5) and the account currency. The currency cannot be changed later; open a new account if you need another.
  5. Deposit through a method shown in your Deposit tab, then trade small.

Withdrawals and complaints: what the rules say

Reddit threads and review sites repeat two questions: "Can I withdraw to GCash?" and "Is Exness a scam?" Neither can be answered from a single page, so here is how to check.

  • Withdrawal rules. Withdrawals go to a payment account in your exact full legal name. Exness says a request made with an unverified card and no prior deposits is rejected, and that the maximum you can withdraw is your free margin. A verification code is sent to your registered security type.
  • Processing times are displayed per method in your Personal Area, not as one figure.
  • Complaints. Contact support through the support hub first; support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If that does not settle it, Exness points to the Financial Commission. Keep screenshots of the transaction history.
  • Fake support. Anyone who messages you on Facebook, Telegram or Viber offering "Exness account management" or asking for your password or one-time code is not Exness support.

Read the Exness review for fees and our customer support guide.

Tax and exchange control in brief

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) taxes income according to its source and type. How trading gains are treated depends on your status (employee, self-employed or business) and on the kind of income, so keep records of deposits, withdrawals and statements and ask a Philippine CPA. The BSP publishes the rules on remittances and foreign exchange. This is not tax advice.

Frequently asked questions

Does Exness accept GCash or Maya?

We could not confirm it. Only the Deposit tab in your Personal Area shows which methods are offered for your registered region, and the wallet must be in your own name.

Is Exness banned in the Philippines?

There is a January 2026 news report of an SEC warning about Exness Global. Trading by individuals is not described as a crime in the sources we read, but check the SEC advisories directly and do not rely on a single article.

Can I open a PHP account?

Yes. PHP is on the Help Center's list of account currencies for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts. It cannot be changed after the account is created.

What is the minimum deposit for Filipino clients?

It depends on the account type and method. Standard and Standard Cent are low; Pro, Raw Spread and Zero need at least USD 200 in some regions. Check Open account in your Personal Area.

Is there a free Exness demo for Filipinos?

Yes. A demo account with virtual funds is free, for all types except Standard Cent.

Can I use someone else's GCash to deposit?

No. Exness says third-party payments are not allowed and the payment account must match your registered full legal name.
