Short answer: Exness lists the Kazakhstani tenge (KZT) as an account currency for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts, and Kazakhstan is one of the 33 countries whose clients get swap-free status automatically on all instruments. To start, register with your email and a Kazakh mobile number, verify your identity and address, and use the free demo before you fund a live account. Minimum deposits depend on the account type and payment method. In Kazakhstan, brokers serving local clients are licensed by the financial regulator ARDFM; we could not verify any ARDFM authorisation for Exness.

KZT or USD account?

Since KZT is a listed currency, you can open an account in tenge and avoid a conversion if your deposit and withdrawal are also in tenge. The currency is fixed once the account is created; to change it you open a new account. Most forex and gold quotes are in dollars, so profit and loss are converted into KZT at the rate in force, and a swing in the tenge changes the value of your balance in dollar terms. Decide whether you measure results in tenge or dollars, and size positions with the trading calculator and the position sizing guide.

Swap-free status in Kazakhstan

Exness assigns swap-free status automatically to clients registered from Kazakhstan, across all instruments and all account types in the same Personal Area. Check it under Trading conditions in your Personal Area. An overnight administrative fee may still apply on some instruments, so read each contract specification before holding a trade for days. See the Islamic account guide.

Local rules and the regulator

The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM) licenses brokers in Kazakhstan, and KASE investor guidance says brokers should operate on a licence from ARDFM under a written brokerage contract. ARDFM also publishes a list of organisations with signs of unlicensed activity. Check it at finreg.kz before dealing with any firm that markets to Kazakh residents. We found no primary ARDFM statement that settles whether residents may use offshore forex brokers, and we have not verified any ARDFM authorisation for an Exness entity. Take advice from a Kazakh lawyer if you need certainty.

Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register.

How to open an Exness account from Kazakhstan

  1. Register. Enter your email and password, confirm you are not a US citizen or resident, and add a partner code if you have one. Exness requires a mobile number that works in your country of residence (registration guide).
  2. Complete the economic profile and upload proof of identity and proof of address. The verification guide lists accepted documents.
  3. Open a demo account first. See the demo account guide.
  4. Choose account type and currency. Compare them in the account types guide.
  5. Deposit through the Deposit tab in your Personal Area, which shows the methods offered for your region. Payments must come from an account in your own name.
  6. Install a platform; the MT5 download guide explains the options.

Trading hours in Kazakhstan time

On Exness, major and minor forex pairs trade from Sunday 21:05 UTC to Friday 20:55 UTC, which is about 02:05 on Monday to 01:55 on Saturday in Kazakhstan, all year (the UTC times do not change with summer time). The London and New York overlap, usually the most active window for major pairs and gold, is roughly 18:00 to 22:00 Kazakhstan time in winter. Decide on a fixed window and a daily loss limit before you start. For per-instrument hours, see the trading hours guide.

Tax

Taxes are administered by the State Revenue Committee (kgd.gov.kz). We found no guidance specific to offshore CFD trading, so ask a Kazakh tax adviser how gains and transfers would be treated, and keep dated statements and payment receipts.

Protecting yourself

Spend the first weeks on the demo, risk a small fixed share of the account on each trade (1% is a common ceiling), and always use a stop-loss. The risk management guide has a plan you can copy. KASE and ARDFM publish warnings about financial fraud, and typical forex scams include "signal" channels, fake profit screenshots and people who ask for your Exness password. Exness ended copy trading on 25 June 2026, so offers to copy Exness traders are not an Exness product.
