Short answer: Brazilian traders can choose Brazil as their country when registering with Exness, and the Exness Help Center lists the Brazilian real (BRL) as an account currency for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts. Whether Pix is offered is not published on any public Exness page we could read, so the only reliable answer is the Deposit tab of your Personal Area after you register. On the legal side, the Brazilian securities regulator CVM published a market alert in January 2022 that names Exness BV and Nymstar Limited, so read the regulation section before you fund an account.

Exness Pix: what we can and cannot say
"Exness aceita Pix?" is one of the most common Portuguese questions about the broker. Pix is the instant payment system of the Banco Central do Brasil, available 24 hours a day, and traders like it for the speed. Our honest answer has two parts.
What the Help Center says. Payment methods depend on your registered region, your verification status and the current availability of the provider. Each method shows its processing time, fees and minimum and maximum limits before you confirm. If a method is not listed in your Deposit tab, it is not available to you at that moment.
What we could not confirm. No public Exness page lists Pix as a method for Brazil, so we do not say it exists, and we do not say it does not. Open the Deposit tab after you register and verify. If Pix appears, note the minimum, the limit and the processing time. If it does not appear, do not look for a workaround: third-party payments are not allowed, and sending money from another person's account can freeze a transaction.
Whatever method is offered, the Pix key, bank account or card must be in your own name, matching the name on your Exness profile. For general rules see the deposit and withdrawal guide and deposit time.
BRL account, IOF and the dollar-real rate
Account currency cannot be changed after you open the account. The Help Center advises depositing in the same currency as the account to avoid conversion charges. For Brazilian traders this gives two options:
- BRL Standard account. Your balance, profit and loss are shown in reais. Good for tracking results in the currency you spend.
- USD account. Pricing examples, commissions and lot values are usually quoted in dollars, so guides are easier to follow, but each deposit and withdrawal is exposed to the dollar-real rate.
Illustrative example, not a forecast. Suppose USD 1 = BRL 5.50 at deposit. A BRL 1,100 deposit buys USD 200. If you withdraw USD 200 later when the rate is 5.20, you receive BRL 1,040, which is BRL 60 less, with no trading loss at all. Exchange-rate risk can be larger than a day's trading result.
Brazil also taxes some foreign-exchange operations with the IOF (Imposto sobre Operações Financeiras). We did not verify the current IOF rate for card, bank or wallet payments for this page, because it changes by operation type and by government decree. Check the Receita Federal website and your bank's statement, and compare the all-in cost between methods before you deposit.
Is Exness legal in Brazil? The CVM facts
The Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM) regulates the securities market and publishes alerts about firms it says are not authorised to offer investments in Brazil: gov.br/cvm. The Banco Central do Brasil supervises banks and foreign exchange.
- On January 18, 2022, InvestNews reported that the CVM issued an alert about four foreign companies, among them Exness BV and Nymstar Limited, saying none had CVM authorisation to intermediate securities and that they presented themselves on the exness.com/pt website.
- The CVM ordered the suspension of the public offer of those services, with a daily fine of BRL 1,000 for non-compliance, according to the same report.
- We could not read the original CVM act on October 27, 2026. Search the CVM alerts page for "Exness" and read the date and wording yourself.
- Exness states that it operates through several regulated entities and that your Personal Area footer shows which one holds your account. See Exness regulation.
This is a short factual note, not legal advice. Brazilian traders of foreign brokers rely on the foreign regulator and the client agreement, so read the agreement for your company.
Free demo account for Brazilian traders
- Register on the Exness website with your email and password.
- Choose Brazil as your country. The region cannot be changed later.
- Confirm your email. Your Personal Area opens.
- In My Accounts, open the Demo tab. A Standard MT5 demo with virtual funds is created for you.
- For MT4, Pro, Zero or Raw Spread, select Open Account, then Demo.
See the demo account guide for reset and login problems, and Exness download for PC, Android and iOS.
What to test on the demo
- Gold and USDBRL-linked ideas. Check whether a Brazilian real pair is offered on your account, and read its spread and swap in the platform before trading.
- Position size. On a demo balance, risk 1% per trade and see how many pips of stop loss that allows.
- Costs. Compare the spread on Standard with the commission on Raw Spread; XAUUSD commission is USD 3.5 per lot per side on Raw Spread and USD 5.5 on Zero. More in fees and spreads.
Market hours in Brasília time
Brazil abolished daylight saving in 2019, so Brasília time is UTC-3 all year. London and New York change their clocks, so the gap moves during the year.
| Session | Approximate Brasília time |
|---|---|
| Tokyo open | about 21:00 the evening before |
| London open | 04:00 or 05:00 |
| New York open | 09:00 or 10:00 |
| US data (e.g. non-farm payrolls) | about 09:30 or 10:30 |
| London-New York overlap | about 09:00 to 12:00 or 13:00 |
The MetaTrader platforms run on server time, not Brasília time, so convert before you set alerts. Weekly close is Friday evening in New York, which is Friday afternoon or evening in Brazil. See Exness trading hours.
Accounts, leverage and swap
Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero are available; compare them in account types. Default leverage is 1:2000 up to USD 29,999.99 of equity (unlimited below USD 5,000 if conditions are met), 1:1000 from USD 30,000 to 99,999 and 1:500 above USD 100,000 (leverage guide). Swap-free is on by default for eligible instruments; Brazil is not among the 33 Islamic countries that get swap-free on all instruments (swap-free and Islamic account guide). Higher leverage brings the stop out closer (stop out).

Taxes in Brazil
The Receita Federal is the tax authority. How gains from trading CFDs or forex with a foreign broker are taxed depends on your situation and on rules that change; we did not verify the current treatment for this page. Keep statements, deposit and withdrawal records and exchange rates on each date, and ask a Brazilian accountant. General background is in our forex tax guide.
Comparing brokers for Brazil
To compare several brokers instead of one, use the checklist in CFD broker Brazil: how to choose a forex broker. Ignore WhatsApp or Telegram groups that offer "managed" profits, and never give your password or a one-time code to anyone claiming to be Exness support.
