Short answer: Exness lists the Mexican peso (MXN) as an account currency for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts, so a Mexican resident can hold an account in pesos and avoid some currency conversion. To start, register with your email and a Mexican mobile number, verify your identity and address, and try the free demo account before funding a live one. Minimum deposits depend on the account type and payment method. Mexico is not on Exness's swap-free country list, though swap-free is on by default for eligible instruments. Brokerage in Mexico is supervised by the CNBV, covered below.

MXN or USD: which currency to choose

Choosing MXN means your balance, profit and loss and any pesos you deposit or withdraw share a currency, so you pay no conversion on the way in or out if the payment is also in pesos. Most forex pairs and gold are quoted against the dollar, so profit and loss on those trades are converted into pesos at the rate in force. A USD account is the alternative if you think in dollars or hold dollar savings. The currency cannot be changed after the account is created (account currencies), so open a second account if you want to test the other option. Check the Deposit tab for the methods and fees shown for your region before choosing.

Is Exness regulated in Mexico?

In Mexico, the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV) supervises banks and securities intermediaries, the Banco de México issues the peso and oversees payment systems, and CONDUSEF handles complaints from financial-services customers. We have not verified whether any Exness entity is authorised by the CNBV. Look up any firm that markets to you on the CNBV site (gob.mx/cnbv) before depositing.

Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. We could not verify which entity registers clients from Mexico.

How to open an Exness account from Mexico

  3. Try the demo account. The demo account guide explains how to use it.

Choosing an account type

If your priority isAccount to look atWhy
Learning with virtual fundsDemoLive prices, no real money at stake
Small positionsStandard CentCent lots; no demo version
Simple costsStandardNo commission; spread is built in
Commission pricingRaw Spread or ZeroCommission per lot; USD 200 minimum in some regions

Spreads can vary and widen with market volatility, news and market open/close. Compare costs in the spread list and read the minimum deposit guide. Gold (XAUUSD) charges commission of USD 3.50 per lot per side on Raw Spread and USD 5.50 on Zero; see the gold trading guide. Leverage magnifies losses too, so read the leverage guide and the stop-out guide.

Swap

Mexico is not on the list of 33 countries that receive automatic swap-free status on all instruments. Swap-free is nonetheless on by default for eligible instruments, and an overnight administrative fee may apply on some. Read the contract specification of anything you hold overnight, and see the Islamic account guide.

Trading hours in Mexico time

On Exness, major and minor forex pairs trade from Sunday 21:05 UTC to Friday 20:55 UTC, which is about Sunday 15:05 to Friday 14:55 in Mexico City (UTC-6). Because Mexico no longer changes its clocks while the US and UK do, the London and New York session times in Mexico City move by an hour twice a year, but the Exness weekly open and close in UTC do not. The London and New York overlap, usually the most active window for major pairs and gold, is roughly 07:00 to 11:00 Mexico City time in winter. This overlaps the morning working day, which makes it easy to over-trade; set a stop time. Regions such as Quintana Roo and the northwest use different offsets, so convert from UTC if you live there. See the trading hours guide.

Tax

Federal taxes are administered by the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT, sat.gob.mx). We found no SAT guidance specific to offshore CFD trading, so ask a Mexican contador about how gains and foreign accounts must be reported. Keep dated statements and records of every transfer with the peso value.

Staying safe

Spend the first weeks on the demo, risk a small fixed share of the account on each trade (1% is a common ceiling), and use a stop-loss on every trade; the risk management guide and position sizing guide show how. Be cautious of WhatsApp and Telegram groups that sell "signals", show profit screenshots or ask for your Exness login. Exness ended copy trading on 25 June 2026, so offers to copy Exness traders are not an Exness product. CONDUSEF and the CNBV publish warnings about unauthorised financial firms; check them.
