Short answer: Exness's website footer names Russia, together with Belarus, among the places where its entities do not offer services to residents. So a person who lives in Russia should not expect to open or verify an Exness account, and this page does not give advice on moving money or crypto to Exness from Russia. It explains what Exness says, how it decides who is eligible, and how to check any broker before you pay.
Disclosure: OnForex earns a referral commission if you open an Exness account through our links.
Sources: the Exness Help Center article "Can I verify an Exness account from a foreign country?" (updated September 29, 2026); the footer wording published on the Exness Kenya site (exness.ke), because exness.com blocked our automated access; the Bank of Russia website. All checked November 7, 2026. We did not test registration from Russia.
Is Exness involved with Russia?
The footer says Exness entities do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia and Belarus, "and others". That is the only statement we can quote. We did not find a separate Exness announcement about Russian business, ownership or sanctions, and we have not verified any claim on those points, so this page makes none.
How Exness decides who is eligible
The Help Center says it looks at where you permanently and lawfully live (Help Center):
- Nationals of a served country who live in a served country are accepted.
- Nationals of a non-served country who permanently and lawfully live in a served country can be verified with proof of identity and proof of address. The example is a Malaysian citizen living in Thailand.
- Nationals of a served country who live in a non-served country are not accepted. The example is a Thai citizen living in Malaysia.
- Nationals of a non-served country who live in a non-served country are not accepted.
The rule is about residence, not about passports. Do not try to register with another country's address, identity or a third party's account; we give no instructions for that, and false residence details can lead to a blocked account and trouble getting money out.
"Can I transfer my crypto or money to Exness from Russia?"
We cannot answer this as advice, and we do not recommend it. For a Russian resident the registration is the first obstacle, because Exness says it does not serve residents of Russia. Banks, payment providers and crypto services also apply their own and legal restrictions that we have not verified and that change. If you need a legal answer about sending money abroad, ask a qualified Russian lawyer or your bank.
How to check a broker if you are in Russia
The Bank of Russia publishes a list of entities showing signs of illegal activity, including foreign-exchange and securities-market schemes, with the dates they were added and the websites they use. We saw many entries that use "Forex" in the name, and some list several lookalike domains for one operator. Check any firm there, check the regulator's own register for the activity you want, and read the full legal name in the contract.
We did not verify the details of the Russian retail forex dealer regime for this page, so we state nothing about it.
Scam warnings
- Telegram or social accounts that offer "Exness accounts for Russia", "verification services" or "managed accounts".
- People who ask you to send money through a third party, or to hide where you live.
- Promises of fixed returns or free "signals" tied to a deposit.
- Requests for your password, a one-time code or remote access. Exness tells clients never to share verification codes (OTP scams) and says its support does not use Telegram or Messenger for support chats (Official communication channels).
