Short answer: Ecuador is not among the places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Ecuador at registration and open a free demo. Ecuador's official currency is the US dollar, so a USD account is the one case in this region where you need no currency conversion between your bank balance and your trading account. Exness support is not listed in Spanish, and we found no Ecuadorian regulator statement about Exness, so read the legal section before depositing.

Sources: the Exness Help Center (account currencies, first-time deposits, verification documents, contact, swap-free status), checked November 1, 2026; the Exness website footer; Banco Central del Ecuador publications on dollarisation (bce.fin.ec). We did not open an Ecuadorian account, did not test deposits and could not search the Superintendencia's registers.
Is Exness available in Ecuador?
The Exness footer says it does not serve the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus, "and others". Ecuador is not named, but the list is open, so the country menu in the registration form is the final check. If you can select Ecuador, you can create a Personal Area and a demo account.
Exness decides by where you permanently and lawfully live. An Ecuadorian living in Spain registers from Spain with Spanish proof of address. We do not suggest choosing a country where you do not live.

A dollar economy: what it means for funding
Because Ecuadorian bank accounts, salaries and cash are in US dollars, the usual currency question of other country pages largely disappears. The account currency is fixed at creation, and Exness applies conversion if the deposit currency differs from it, so a USD account funded with dollars avoids that step. The Help Center adds that you should deposit in your trading account's currency to avoid conversion charges.
Two things still deserve attention:
- Your bank or provider can charge fees for international card payments or transfers, even without conversion.
- Pip values, gold and many pairs are quoted in dollars, so a USD account makes profit and loss easy to read. Pairs not quoted in dollars are converted into your account currency.
Deposits and withdrawals
The Help Center does not publish methods by country. The Deposit tab in your Personal Area lists what is available to you with minimum and maximum limits and processing times. Payments must come from accounts in your own name; third-party accounts are not accepted. Verification and the economic profile affect which methods are enabled. See deposit and withdrawal methods and withdrawal time; withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method.
For the minimum: Standard and Standard Cent require a low first deposit that depends on method and region. Pro, Raw Spread and Zero have a regional minimum, at least USD 200 in some regions. See minimum deposit and stop out before choosing a lot size.
Is Exness legal in Ecuador?
What we can say:
- The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros (SCVS) is the authority associated with the securities market, and the Superintendencia de Bancos supervises banks. We could not open the SCVS site during our check, so we did not read its rules on forex or CFDs, and we found no SCVS warning about forex platforms.
- Press reports in 2025 and 2026 say the Superintendencia de Bancos published lists of unauthorised entities taking money or offering loans in Ecuador. These concern lending and deposit-taking, and we did not see Exness named.
- We make no claim on whether an Exness company is registered with an Ecuadorian authority. Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. See Exness regulation.
Tax treatment of foreign trading income is outside what we verified; ask an Ecuadorian accountant and keep records of deposits and withdrawals.
Open an account from Ecuador
- Register with your email, choose Ecuador and set a password.
- Use the demo (demo account guide); a Standard MT5 demo with virtual funds is created at registration.
- Verify with a passport, national ID (cedula) or driver's licence, plus a proof of address such as a utility bill or bank statement issued in the last six months (verification guide).
- Open a live account in USD (account types).
- Deposit a small amount and test a withdrawal early.
Because support is not listed in Spanish, plan to use English when you contact Exness, or rely on the screens and help articles (customer support). Install MT4, MT5 or the Exness Trade app (app guide).
Market hours in Ecuador
Mainland Ecuador uses UTC-5 all year; the Galapagos Islands are one hour behind (UTC-6). Times below are for the mainland.
| Event | Quito time (approx.) |
|---|---|
| Weekly open (Sunday 22:05 UTC in winter) | Sunday 17:05 |
| Tokyo | 19:00 the evening before |
| London | 02:00 or 03:00 |
| New York | 07:00 or 08:00 |
| Weekly close (Friday 21:59 UTC in winter) | Friday 16:59 |
Weekly open and close times follow the Exness schedule after US daylight saving time ended on November 1, 2026 (Help Center, "Trading Hours Update", checked November 2, 2026). From the second Sunday of March they move one hour earlier.
London and New York clock changes cause the one-hour variation. Spreads can vary and widen with volatility, news and market open/close. See Exness trading hours. Compare with Exness Peru, another Spanish-speaking market where terms are set per country.
Leverage, risk and scams
Leverage depends on your equity and the serving entity (leverage guide) and magnifies losses as well as gains (risk management). Be wary of anyone offering to "manage" your account or guaranteeing returns, and never share your password or a one-time code. Contact Exness only through your Personal Area.
