Exness Myanmar: Is It Available? Kyat, USD Account, FATF Status

Short answer: Myanmar is not named in the list of places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Myanmar at registration and open a free demo account. The kyat (MMK) is not an Exness account currency. We found no Exness statement about Myanmar of any kind, so this page cannot say anything about Exness's business dealings there; it covers what a resident can check. Is Exness available in Myanmar?

The Exness footer says its entities do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe and the United Kingdom, "and others". FATF status: a short fact

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) publishes a list of "high-risk jurisdictions subject to a call for action". In its statement of October 30, 2026 it said Myanmar remains on that list, that its action plan expired in September 2021, and that it calls on members to apply enhanced due diligence to Myanmar, and that fraud and cyber scam activity there remains extensive (FATF, October 2026). Banks and payment providers elsewhere may therefore ask for more documents on payments connected with Myanmar. This is a statement about the country's anti-money-laundering framework, not about any broker or any individual client.

Kyat, dollars and the central bank

With no MMK account, the usual route is a USD account. The Help Center advises depositing in the currency of your trading account to avoid conversion charges.

The Central Bank of Myanmar administers the Foreign Exchange Management Law (2012) and its regulations (regulation text). Reporting from 2023 describes limits on residents holding foreign currency and penalties for unlicensed currency dealing (Radio Free Asia), and the central bank has changed its currency rules several times. We could not confirm the current rules on sending money abroad to fund a trading account, so ask an authorised bank in writing what is allowed and what documents it needs, and never use unlicensed money changers or third-party accounts.

We give no kyat exchange rate: official and market rates have differed and we could not cite one that is current.

Is Exness legal in Myanmar?

What we could check:

• The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) administers foreign exchange rules. The Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) supervises the securities market.
• We found no CBM or SECM statement that names Exness and no rule on retail forex or CFD trading by foreign firms in what we could read. We cannot say whether this activity is permitted, restricted or outside their scope. A lawyer in Myanmar can say.
• Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different regulators. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement. See Exness regulation and confirm on the regulator's own register.
