Exness Namibia: Is It Legal? NAD, ZAR Account, Deposit, Demo

Short answer: Namibia is not among the places Exness says it does not serve, so you can choose Namibia at registration and start with a free demo. The Namibian dollar (NAD) is not an Exness account currency; the rand (ZAR) is, which makes it the closest local choice, while USD is simpler for gold and dollar pairs. NAMFISA states that online trading is not a regulated activity it supervises, so the legal section below matters before you deposit.

Sources: the Exness Help Center (account currencies, first-time deposits, verification documents, swap-free status), checked November 1, 2026; the Exness website footer, checked November 1, 2026; the NAMFISA cautionary public notice on online trading (dated March 28, 2017, namfisa.com.na). We did not open a Namibian account, did not test deposits and could not confirm the NAD-ZAR arrangement on a Bank of Namibia page.

Is Exness available in Namibia?

The Exness footer names the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus, "and others". Namibia is not named, yet the list is open-ended, so the registration form's country menu is the real test. If Namibia can be selected you get a Personal Area and a demo account.

Acceptance follows permanent, lawful residence. A Namibian living in Namibia registers from Namibia; someone living in South Africa registers from South Africa with South African proof of address. Choosing a country where you do not live is not something we recommend.

NAD, ZAR or USD: choosing the account currency

The currency is fixed once the account exists, and Exness applies conversion whenever your deposit or withdrawal currency differs from it.

  • ZAR account: the Namibian dollar is commonly described as linked to the rand, so ZAR balances are familiar to many Namibians. We could not confirm the arrangement on a Bank of Namibia page, so check the current rate relationship yourself. Remember that gold and most pairs are quoted in dollars, so profit and loss are converted into rand using the conversion Exness applies.
  • USD account: pip values and gold quotes are easy to follow.
  • Deposit in the account currency to avoid a conversion step; your bank or provider may still add its own fee.

Whatever you choose, note the rate at each deposit and withdrawal so you can judge your result in Namibian dollars.

Deposits and withdrawals

The Help Center does not publish methods by country. Open the Deposit tab in your Personal Area to see what is offered to you with minimums, maximums and processing times. Payments must come from an account in your own name; third-party accounts are not accepted. Finish the economic profile and verification first because they affect which methods are available. Read deposit and withdrawal methods and withdrawal time; processing time can vary by method.

Minimum first deposit is low for Standard and Standard Cent and depends on the method and region. Pro, Raw Spread and Zero have a regional minimum, at least USD 200 in some regions, and the method minimum applies to every deposit (minimum deposit guide).

Short, checkable facts:

  • NAMFISA supervises the non-bank financial sector. Its notice dated March 28, 2017 says that stockbroker trades through the Namibian Stock Exchange are regulated, but that online trading through an internet brokerage is not a regulated activity and that firms doing it are not regulated by NAMFISA unless they are exchange members supervised by the exchange. It tells investors that online trading is at their own risk.
  • Press reports quote the Bank of Namibia as saying online forex trading is not prohibited while warning the public against illegal financial schemes. We did not find the primary text on the bank's site, so treat this as a report, not a verified quote.
  • Practically, this means NAMFISA does not stand behind an overseas online broker. Your protections come from the Exness company in your client agreement. Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world; the company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. See Exness regulation.
  • Never hand your login to a "manager" who trades for you. NAMFISA's notice lists mismanagement, unauthorised trades and ignored instructions as risks.

Namibia Revenue Agency and local advisers can tell you how trading income is taxed; we did not verify this.

Swap, leverage, support

Namibia is not on the swap-free list (Islamic account guide). Leverage depends on your equity and entity (leverage guide) and magnifies losses. Support runs 24/7 in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu through live chat or a support-hub ticket; use only your Personal Area to contact Exness. See customer support.
