Short answer: The Dominican Republic is not named in the list of places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Dominican Republic at registration and open a free demo account. The Dominican peso (DOP) is not an Exness account currency, so you hold a US dollar account and the peso-to-dollar conversion happens at your bank or provider. On November 2, 2026 the central bank's buy and sell rates were about 0.4 percent apart, a small but real cost on every round trip. Spanish support is not listed, and we found no SIMV statement naming Exness.

Sources: the Exness Help Center (account currencies, first-time deposits, verification documents, contact, swap-free status, trading-hours update for the end of US daylight saving time), checked November 3, 2026; the Exness website footer, checked November 3, 2026; the Banco Central de la Republica Dominicana exchange rate shown on bancentral.gov.do for November 2, 2026. We did not open a Dominican account, did not test deposits and could not open the SIMV website (it returned an access error), so we did not read its warnings.

Is Exness available in the Dominican Republic?

The footer of the Exness website says the entities listed there do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia and Belarus, "and others". The Dominican Republic is not named, but the list is open, so the country menu in the registration form is the final check. If you can select it, you can create a Personal Area and a demo account.

Exness decides by where you permanently and lawfully live. A Dominican living in Spain or the United States registers from that country with documents from there. We do not suggest choosing a country where you do not live.

Pesos and dollars: a worked example

The account currency cannot be changed after the account is created, and Exness applies conversion when a deposit or withdrawal currency differs from it. With a USD account, the peso is converted somewhere else, usually by your bank or payment provider. The Help Center advises depositing in the currency of your trading account, or checking the conversion rate first.

On November 2, 2026 the Banco Central de la Republica Dominicana showed these rates for the US dollar: buy 60.5031 pesos, sell 60.7461 pesos. Banks and exchange houses publish their own rates, which can differ, so treat the figures as a reference, not a quote.

ExampleCalculationResult
Pesos needed for USD 100 at the sell rate100 x 60.74616,074.61 DOP
Pesos returned for USD 100 at the buy rate100 x 60.50316,050.31 DOP
Cost of that round trip, before any trading6,074.61 - 6,050.3124.30 DOP, about 0.4%
Dollars from 10,000 DOP at the sell rate10,000 / 60.7461about USD 164.62

Your own bank's margin will usually be wider than the central bank's gap. Write down the rate for every deposit and withdrawal, and judge your result in pesos if pesos are what you live on. A trade that gains in dollars can still be a smaller gain in pesos if the exchange rate moves against you between deposit and withdrawal.

Deposits and withdrawals

The Help Center does not publish payment methods by country. The Deposit tab in your Personal Area lists what is available to you with minimum and maximum limits and processing times. Payments must come from accounts in your own name; third-party accounts are not accepted. Completing the economic profile and verification affects which methods are enabled.

If your bank delays or blocks international payments, Exness cannot change that. Withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method. See deposit and withdrawal methods and withdrawal time.

Minimum deposit in the Dominican Republic

Account typeFirst-deposit rule
Standard Cent, StandardLow, based on the payment method and the region of registration
Pro, Raw Spread, ZeroA minimum that depends on the region; at least USD 200 in some regions

Every method also has its own minimum that applies to every deposit. At the reference sell rate above, USD 200 is about 12,149 pesos (200 x 60.7461), which shows how large the Pro, Raw Spread and Zero minimum can be against a monthly budget. Size positions with the stop-out level in mind (stop out guide) and read the minimum deposit guide.

What we could check:

  • The Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (SIMV) is the securities-market regulator of the Dominican Republic, and its website is simv.gob.do. The site returned an access error when we tried it on November 3, 2026, so we could not read its warnings to the public or its registers. Search results show that it publishes investor notices, but we cannot tell you whether any concerns Exness.
  • The Banco Central de la Republica Dominicana publishes the official exchange rates quoted above; the banking superintendency supervises banks.
  • We found no SIMV statement that names Exness and no rule on retail forex or CFD trading in what we could read. That means we cannot say whether this activity is permitted, restricted or outside the SIMV scope. A Dominican lawyer can say.
  • Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. See Exness regulation.

Tax treatment of foreign trading income is outside what we verified; ask a Dominican accountant and keep records of deposits and withdrawals.

How to open an Exness account from the Dominican Republic

  1. Register with your email, choose Dominican Republic as your country and set a password.
  2. Open a demo and test your plan with virtual funds (demo account guide).
  3. Verify. Market hours in the Dominican Republic (UTC-4)

The Dominican Republic stays on UTC-4 all year with no daylight saving (checked against the IANA time zone database for America/Santo_Domingo). Exness published a schedule change for the end of US daylight saving time on November 1, 2026: forex pairs now open on Sunday at 22:05 UTC and close on Friday at 21:59 UTC (Help Center, article 31342732737180). Metals, energies and indices have their own hours.

Event (forex pairs)Santo Domingo time
Weekly open (Sunday 22:05 UTC)Sunday 18:05
Weekly close (Friday 21:59 UTC)Friday 17:59

The market closes on Friday evening and opens on Sunday evening, so a weekend gap can hit an open position. From the second Sunday of March the Exness schedule moves one hour earlier, so check the instrument page in your Personal Area. Spreads can vary and widen with volatility, news and market open/close. See Exness trading hours. Caracas uses the same offset; see Exness Venezuela.

Leverage, risk and scams

Maximum leverage depends on your equity and the entity serving you (leverage guide) and magnifies losses as well as gains (risk management). Be wary of anyone who offers to "manage" your account or guarantees returns, and never share your password or a one-time code. Contact Exness only through your Personal Area.
