Exness Singapore guide: SGD is an account currency, what MAS says about leveraged FX, free demo, verification, deposit rules and trading hours in Singapore time.

Short answer: Singapore is not named in the list of places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Singapore at registration and open a free demo account. The Singapore dollar (SGD) is an Exness account currency for the Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero account types, so you can hold your balance in SGD and avoid one conversion on SGD deposits. Leveraged FX is a licensed activity under Singapore law, so read the legal section before you deposit.

Is Exness available in Singapore?
The footer of the Exness website lists the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus, "and others", as places it does not serve. Singapore is not named, but because the list ends with "and others" the country menu in the registration form is the final check. If Singapore can be selected, you can create a Personal Area and a demo account.
Exness bases acceptance on where you permanently and lawfully live. If you live in Singapore, register from Singapore. If you live elsewhere, for example as a Singapore citizen working abroad, register from the country where you live, with documents from there.

SGD or USD: choosing the account currency
Your account currency is fixed when the account is created. Exness says conversions apply when you deposit or withdraw in a currency different from the account's, and that you can avoid conversion charges by depositing in the account currency.
- SGD account: profit and loss are shown in the currency you spend at home. Gold and most pairs are quoted in US dollars, so Exness converts the result into SGD, and the conversion rate applies to every closed trade (see the Help Center article on how currency converts when profit and loss are calculated).
- USD account: pip values and gold quotes are easy to follow, but you accept a conversion each time you move money between SGD and USD.
- Funding in SGD: your bank or payment provider may add its own fee. Write down the SGD value of each deposit and withdrawal to see your real result.
A small account can feel the difference: a USD account that is funded in SGD has two conversions in a round trip, one in and one out.
Deposits and withdrawals for Singapore clients
The Help Center says first deposits are accepted only from accounts in the client's own name; third-party accounts are not accepted. It does not publish a method list by country. The Deposit tab in your Personal Area shows the methods available to you, with minimum and maximum limits and processing times.
Practical checks:
- Complete the economic profile and verification first, since they affect which methods are enabled.
- Read the minimum and the processing time before you press Continue.
- Your bank may add its own fee or hold on overseas card payments.
Withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method. See the deposit and withdrawal guide and withdrawal time.
Minimum deposit in Singapore
| Account type | First-deposit rule |
|---|---|
| Standard Cent, Standard | Low, based on the payment method and the region of registration |
| Pro, Raw Spread, Zero | A minimum that depends on the region; at least USD 200 in some regions |
Every method also has its own minimum that applies to every deposit. If the account rule is USD 200 and the method minimum is USD 10, the first deposit must be at least USD 200. A small balance with a large position can hit stop out quickly (stop out guide). See the minimum deposit guide.
Is Exness legal in Singapore? What MAS says
Short facts:
- The Securities and Futures Act 2001 defines "leveraged foreign exchange trading" as entering into a spot foreign exchange contract where one side provides money or collateral that is only part of the contract's value. The Act sits under the Monetary Authority of Singapore, which runs the capital markets licensing regime (the Capital Markets Services licence). We read the definition on Singapore Statutes Online but did not check the schedule entry that lists regulated activities, so we do not state exactly which activities need a licence. Ask a Singapore lawyer for that.
- The MAS Investor Alert List names persons who may be wrongly perceived as licensed or regulated by MAS. MAS says the list is not exhaustive and that it no longer publishes the names of entities that impersonate MAS-regulated firms. The page we opened shows no individual entries, so we could not check whether Exness is listed and make no claim either way. MAS suggests checking a firm's contact details against the MAS Financial Institutions Directory, which we could not search.
- We found no MAS statement that names Exness. Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. See Exness regulation.
How Singapore's rules apply to a client of a foreign company is a legal question we cannot answer. Never give your password or a one-time code to anyone claiming to be Exness, and be wary of anyone who messages you offering to "manage" your account.
How to open an Exness account from Singapore
- Register with your email, choose Singapore as your country and set a password. The country cannot be changed later.
- Open a demo and test your plan with virtual funds (demo account guide).
- Verify. Upload a proof of identity (passport, national ID or driver's licence; it must stay valid for at least three months after upload) and a proof of address issued in the last six months, such as a utility bill or bank statement. The name must match exactly. Verification can take up to 24 hours (verification guide).
- Create a live account and choose type, platform and currency (account types).
- Deposit from an account in your name, starting small.
- Trade with a stop-loss on MT4, MT5 or the Exness Trade app (app guide).
Market hours in Singapore (UTC+8)
Singapore uses UTC+8 all year with no daylight saving. On 30 October 2026 Exness published a schedule change for the end of US daylight saving time on 1 November: forex pairs now open on Sunday at 22:05 UTC and close on Friday at 21:59 UTC. Metals, energies and indices have their own hours.
| Event (forex pairs) | Singapore time |
|---|---|
| Weekly open (Sunday 22:05 UTC) | Monday 06:05 |
| Weekly close (Friday 21:59 UTC) | Saturday 05:59 |
The schedule moves by an hour when US clocks change again, so check the instrument page in your Personal Area. Spreads can vary and widen with market volatility, news and market open/close. See Exness trading hours.
Swap, leverage and risk
Singapore is not on the swap-free country list, so swap rules follow your account and instrument (Islamic account guide). Maximum leverage depends on your equity and the entity serving you (leverage guide). Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains; read risk management.
Support and scams
Contact Exness only through your Personal Area, by live chat after login or a ticket in the support hub. Scam messages that copy the Exness name are common. See customer support.
