Short answer: Panama is not named in the list of places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Panama at registration and open a free demo account. Panama's balboa is tied one to one to the US dollar and paper money is the US dollar, so a USD account funded in dollars needs no currency conversion. The securities regulator, the SMV, requires a licence for forex business carried out in or from Panama, which is a reason to read the entity named in your Exness client agreement. Spanish support is not listed.

Sources: the Exness Help Center (account currencies, first-time deposits, verification documents, contact, swap-free status, trading-hours update for the end of US daylight saving time), checked November 3, 2026; the Exness website footer, checked November 3, 2026; the Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores de Panama (supervalores.gob.pa), including its public warning of September 18, 2025 and public notice no. 2 of January 6, 2026, read November 3, 2026; background on the balboa from public reference pages. We did not open a Panamanian account and did not test deposits.

Is Exness available in Panama?

The footer of the Exness website says the entities listed there do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia and Belarus, "and others". Panama is not named, but the list is open, so the country menu in the registration form is the final check. If you can select Panama, you can create a Personal Area and a demo account.

Exness decides by where you permanently and lawfully live. A Panamanian living in the United States or Colombia registers from that country with documents from there. We do not suggest choosing a country where you do not live.

A dollar economy: what it means for funding

In Panama the balboa and the dollar are worth the same, and the notes in your wallet and the balance in most bank accounts are US dollars. That means the usual currency problem on other country pages largely disappears: a USD account funded in dollars avoids the conversion step, and the Help Center advises depositing in your trading account's currency to avoid conversion charges.

Two things still deserve attention:

  • Your bank or provider can charge fees for international card payments or transfers, even without conversion.
  • A deposit in another currency is converted. If you hold euros or Colombian pesos, for example, the conversion to dollars happens at your bank or provider, and you should check the rate before you send money.

Gold and many currency pairs are quoted in dollars, so a USD account makes profit and loss easy to read.

Deposits and withdrawals

The Help Center does not publish payment methods by country. The Deposit tab in your Personal Area lists what is available to you with minimum and maximum limits and processing times. Payments must come from accounts in your own name; third-party accounts are not accepted. Completing the economic profile and verification affects which methods are enabled.

If your bank delays or blocks international payments, Exness cannot change that. Withdrawal processing time can vary by payment method. See deposit and withdrawal methods and withdrawal time.

Minimum deposit in Panama

Account typeFirst-deposit rule
Standard Cent, StandardLow, based on the payment method and the region of registration
Pro, Raw Spread, ZeroA minimum that depends on the region; at least USD 200 in some regions

Every method also has its own minimum that applies to every deposit, so the figure in your Deposit tab is the one that counts. Size positions with the stop-out level in mind (stop out guide) and read the minimum deposit guide.

What we could check:

  • The Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (SMV) is Panama's securities regulator and publishes lists of the entities and people it has authorised at supervalores.gob.pa, together with public warnings about unauthorised entities.
  • In a public warning dated September 18, 2025 about an individual (we do not repeat the name), the SMV said the person held no SMV licence to carry out intermediation, administration or advice in securities, financial instruments or forex in or from Panamanian territory, and that unlicensed activity is a very serious infringement under article 269 of the Securities Market Law, subject to fines. The warning is about that person, not about Exness.
  • We found no SMV notice that names Exness. The SMV home page also carries other warnings about unauthorised entities (for example, notices numbered 9, 10 and 11 in 2026), none of which we saw naming Exness.
  • What this means for you: offering forex services in or from Panama is something the SMV treats as licensed activity. Whether an offshore broker serving a Panamanian client falls under that rule is a legal question we cannot answer. A Panamanian lawyer can say, and you can ask the SMV directly at the contact details on its website.
  • Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different financial regulators around the world. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement and in the footer of your Personal Area. Check the current list on Exness's regulation page and confirm it on the regulator's own register. See Exness regulation.

Tax treatment of foreign trading income is outside what we verified; ask a Panamanian accountant and keep records of deposits and withdrawals.

Market hours in Panama (UTC-5)

Panama stays on UTC-5 all year with no daylight saving (checked against the IANA time zone database for America/Panama). Exness published a schedule change for the end of US daylight saving time on November 1, 2026: forex pairs now open on Sunday at 22:05 UTC and close on Friday at 21:59 UTC (Help Center, article 31342732737180). Metals, energies and indices have their own hours.

Event (forex pairs)Panama City time
Weekly open (Sunday 22:05 UTC)Sunday 17:05
Weekly close (Friday 21:59 UTC)Friday 16:59

The market closes on Friday afternoon and opens on Sunday afternoon, so a weekend gap can hit an open position. From the second Sunday of March the Exness schedule moves one hour earlier, so check the instrument page in your Personal Area. Spreads can vary and widen with volatility, news and market open/close. See Exness trading hours. Quito uses the same offset; see Exness Ecuador.

Leverage, risk and scams

Maximum leverage depends on your equity and the entity serving you (leverage guide) and magnifies losses as well as gains (risk management). Be wary of anyone who offers to "manage" your account or guarantees returns, and never share your password or a one-time code. Contact Exness only through your Personal Area.
