Short answer: Uruguay is not named in the list of places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Uruguay at registration and open a free demo account. The Uruguayan peso (UYU) is not an Exness account currency, so a Uruguayan client holds a US dollar account and pays for converting pesos at the bank or provider. We found no Banco Central del Uruguay (BCU) statement that names Exness, and Spanish is not on the Exness support-language list, so read the legal section before depositing.

Sources: the Exness Help Center (account currencies, minimum deposit, verification documents, contact, swap-free status, trading-hours update for the end of US daylight saving time), checked November 6, 2026; the footer wording published on the Exness Kenya site (exness.ke), because exness.com blocked our automated access; the Banco Central del Uruguay website (bcu.gub.uy). We did not open a Uruguayan account or test deposits.
Is Exness available in Uruguay?
The Exness footer says its entities do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe and the United Kingdom, "and others". Uruguay is not named, but the list is open, so the country menu in the registration form is the final check. If you can select Uruguay, you can create a Personal Area and a demo account.
Exness decides by where you permanently and lawfully live (Help Center). We do not suggest choosing a country where you do not live.

Pesos and dollars: what a conversion costs
With no UYU account, the usual route is a USD account. Dollars are common in Uruguayan banking, but if your bank or provider changes pesos into dollars before the money reaches Exness, that exchange rate is a cost outside Exness. The Help Center advises depositing in the currency of your trading account, or checking the conversion rate first.
We give no peso rate because we could not read an official rate we could cite for this page. To judge a quote:
- Ask your bank or exchange house for the rate at which it sells dollars and the rate at which it buys them back.
- Divide the pesos you plan to send by the selling rate to get the dollars that arrive.
- The gap between the two rates is what a round trip costs before a single trade.
If you already hold dollars, depositing them avoids that conversion, although your bank may charge for an international transfer. Write the rate and fees down for every deposit and withdrawal.
Deposits, withdrawals and minimum deposit
The Help Center does not publish payment methods by country; the Deposit tab in your Personal Area lists what is available to you with limits and processing times. Payments must come from accounts in your own name. If your bank limits international payments, Exness cannot change that. See deposit and withdrawal methods and withdrawal time.
| Account type | First-deposit rule |
|---|---|
| Standard Cent, Standard | Low, based on the payment method and region |
| Pro, Raw Spread, Zero | At least USD 200 in some regions |
Each method also has its own minimum on every deposit. Read the minimum deposit guide and the stop out guide.
Is Exness legal in Uruguay?
What we could check:
- The Banco Central del Uruguay (BCU) regulates and supervises the financial system through its Superintendencia de Servicios Financieros (bcu.gub.uy). In 2026 it has been issuing new rules, for example, according to a law-firm summary, Circular No. 2507 of July 16, 2026 on virtual asset service providers, according to a law firm summary. That circular covers virtual assets, not forex.
- We found no BCU statement that names Exness and no rule on retail forex or CFD trading by foreign firms in what we could read. We cannot say whether this activity is permitted, restricted or outside the BCU's scope. A Uruguayan lawyer can say.
- Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different regulators. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement. See Exness regulation and confirm on the regulator's own register.
Tax treatment of foreign trading income is outside what we verified; ask a Uruguayan accountant and keep records.
How to open an Exness account from Uruguay
- Register with your email, choose Uruguay as your country and set a password.
- Open a demo and test your plan (demo account guide).
- Verify with a proof of identity (valid for at least three months after upload) and a proof of address from the last six months; names must match (verification guide).
- Create a live account in USD (account types).
- Deposit a small amount from an account in your name and test a withdrawal early.
- Trade with a stop-loss on MT4, MT5 or the Exness Trade app.
Because Spanish support is not listed, plan to contact Exness in English (customer support).

Leverage, risk and scams
Maximum leverage depends on your equity and the entity serving you (leverage guide) and magnifies losses as well as gains. Be wary of anyone offering to "manage" your account or promising fixed returns, and never share your password or a one-time code.
