Exness Benin: XOF Account, Legal Status, Gold Hours, Demo

Short answer: Benin is not named in the list of places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Benin at registration and open a free demo account. The West African CFA franc (XOF) is an Exness account currency for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts, and the franc is fixed to the euro, so the real choice is XOF, EUR or USD. Benin is not on the Exness swap-free country list, unlike its neighbours Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal. French is not on the support-language list. Is Exness available in Benin?

The Exness footer says its entities do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe and the United Kingdom, "and others". XOF, EUR or USD: the peg changes the choice

An account currency cannot be changed after you create the account, and conversions apply on deposits and withdrawals made in a different currency (Help Center). The CFA franc is fixed to the euro at 655.957 XOF per EUR, so a EUR account has a stable link to francs, while a USD account moves with the EURUSD rate.

A worked example at the fixed peg: EUR 100 is 100 x 655.957 = 65,595.7 XOF. A dollar amount in francs depends on the day's EURUSD price, so we give no figure.

• Fund and withdraw in francs? An XOF account avoids a conversion by Exness, though your payment provider may still charge fees.
• Hold euros or want a stable link to the franc? A EUR account suits that.
• Mostly trade dollar pairs or gold? A USD account matches the quote currency of XAUUSD and EURUSD; just count the conversion at each end.

Ask your bank or provider for both its buying and selling rate, and record the rate for every deposit and withdrawal.

Under the Exness schedule after US daylight saving ended on November 1, 2026, it is closed on Sunday until 23:01:30 UTC, in close-only mode until 23:05:00 and open from then; it closes on Friday at 21:58 UTC. From Monday to Thursday it pauses from 21:58 UTC and reopens at 23:02 UTC (Help Center, article 31342732737180). Benin uses West Africa Time, UTC+1 all year:

Is Exness legal in Benin?

What we could check:

• Benin belongs to the West African Economic and Monetary Union. Its common central bank is the BCEAO, which issues the franc, and the regional securities-market regulator is the Autorité des Marchés Financiers de l'UMOA (AMF-UMOA), formerly the CREPMF (we did not find an AMF-UMOA page listing approved entities or warnings).
• We found no BCEAO or AMF-UMOA statement that names Exness and no rule on retail forex or CFD trading with an offshore broker in what we could read. We cannot say whether this activity is permitted, restricted or outside their scope. A lawyer in Benin can say.
