Short answer: Turkmenistan is not named in the list of places Exness says it does not serve, so you can try choosing Turkmenistan at registration and open a free demo account. It is on the Exness Help Center list of countries that receive swap-free status automatically. The Turkmen manat (TMT) is not an Exness account currency, so the practical choice is a USD account, with conversion costs on each deposit and withdrawal. Russian and Turkmen are not on the support-language list. Gold (XAUUSD) has its own hours, shown below in Ashgabat time.

Disclosure: OnForex earns a referral commission if you open an Exness account through our links.

Practise with virtual funds, then register with Turkmenistan as your country and see the account types shown for your region. Forex and CFD trading carries a high risk of loss.

Sources: the Exness Help Center ("Trading account currencies", "Swap-free status (Islamic countries)", "About admin fees on overnight orders", "How do I contact Exness?", and the trading-hours update for the end of US daylight saving time, article 31342732737180), checked November 8, 2026; the country-restriction wording in the Exness website footer, as recorded in our other country guides; and the Central Bank of Turkmenistan website (cbt.tm), checked November 8, 2026. We did not open a Turkmen account or test deposits.

Is Exness available in Turkmenistan?

The Exness footer says its entities do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe and the United Kingdom, "and others". Turkmenistan is not named, but the list is open, so the country menu in the registration form is the final check. If you can select Turkmenistan, you can create a Personal Area and a demo account.

Exness decides by where you permanently and lawfully live (Help Center). We do not suggest choosing a country where you do not live.

No manat account: converting to a dollar account

An account currency cannot be changed after you create the account, and conversions apply on deposits and withdrawals made in a different currency (Help Center). The list has no TMT option, so you choose USD or another listed currency. Neighbouring Uzbekistan's som (UZS) and Kazakhstan's tenge (KZT) are listed, but using them only makes sense if you actually hold those currencies, since each extra step adds a conversion.

Illustration at an assumed rate of USD 1 = TMT 3.50. This is a round example, not a quote; the Central Bank of Turkmenistan publishes its own official rate on cbt.tm, and a bank or exchange office may quote different buying and selling rates.

Dollar amountIllustrative manatNote
USD 50TMT 175A small test deposit, if your method and account type allow it
USD 200TMT 700The minimum first deposit stated for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero in some regions
USD 1,000TMT 3,500The gap between buy and sell rates grows with the amount

If the buying and selling rates you are offered differ, work out the round trip before you commit: the cost is the difference between what you pay to buy dollars and what you receive when you sell them back, divided by what you paid. We could not verify which rates or channels are available to you, so we give no figure.

Swap-free status in Turkmenistan

A swap is the charge or credit for holding a position past the daily rollover. For clients registered in the listed countries, the Help Center says swap-free status is assigned automatically, covers every account type in your Personal Area, and means all trading instruments on those accounts have zero swap. To see your status, open Trading conditions under Exness benefits in your Personal Area, then Swap-Free.

  • A caveat: Exness reserves the right to apply an administration fee on orders kept open overnight Monday to Friday, based on trading activity, and publishes a rate table per instrument and lot (Help Center). Read the row for your instrument before you hold it for days.
  • Who benefits: swing traders who keep positions for days, and traders who avoid interest for religious reasons. Day traders who close before the rollover see little difference.

The swap-free and Islamic account guide lists the full set of countries. Neighbours Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are on the same list.

Gold (XAUUSD) from Turkmenistan

XAUUSD is quoted in US dollars. Under the Exness schedule after US daylight saving ended on November 1, 2026, it is closed on Sunday until 23:01:30 UTC, in close-only mode until 23:05:00 and open from then; it closes on Friday at 21:58 UTC. From Monday to Thursday it pauses from 21:58 UTC and reopens at 23:02 UTC (Help Center, article 31342732737180). Turkmenistan uses UTC+5 all year:

See the gold trading guide.

Deposits, withdrawals and minimum deposit

The Help Center does not publish payment methods by country; the Deposit tab in your Personal Area lists what is available to you with limits and processing times. Payments must come from accounts in your own name. Processing time differs by method, so check it in your Personal Area. See deposit and withdrawal methods and withdrawal time.

Read the minimum deposit guide and the stop out guide.

What we could check:

  • The Central Bank of Turkmenistan issues the manat and, according to its website (cbt.tm), has sections on the banking system, the payment system, legislation, the national currency and foreign exchange.
  • We did not read the full legislation section. We found no central bank statement that names Exness and no rule on retail forex or CFD trading with an offshore broker in the pages we could read. We cannot say whether this activity is permitted, restricted or outside the central bank's scope, or whether rules on foreign-currency transfers affect funding an overseas account. A lawyer in Turkmenistan can say.
  • Exness operates through several group companies authorised by different regulators. The company that serves you is named in your client agreement. See Exness regulation and confirm on the regulator's own register.

Tax treatment of foreign trading income is outside what we verified; ask a local accountant.

How to open an Exness account from Turkmenistan

  1. Register with your email, choose Turkmenistan as your country and set a password. The country cannot be changed later.
  2. Open a demo and test your plan. A Standard MT5 demo with virtual funds is created in your Personal Area; for MT4, Pro, Raw Spread or Zero, go to My Accounts, Open Account, then Demo (demo account guide).
  3. Verify with a proof of identity and a recent proof of address (check the date rule on the upload screen); names must match (verification guide).
  4. Create a live account in USD or another listed currency (account types).
  5. Deposit a small amount from an account in your name and test a withdrawal early.
  6. Trade with a stop-loss on MT4, MT5 or the Exness Trade app.

Because Russian and Turkmen support are not listed, plan to contact Exness in English (customer support).

Market hours in Turkmenistan (UTC+5)

Forex pairs open on Sunday at 22:05 UTC and close on Friday at 21:59 UTC (Help Center, article 31342732737180). Platform charts use Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+0), which the Help Center says cannot be changed, so convert times before you place a news trade.

Event (forex pairs)Ashgabat time
Weekly open (Sunday 22:05 UTC)Monday 03:05
Weekly close (Friday 21:59 UTC)Saturday 02:59

From the second Sunday of March the Exness schedule moves one hour earlier, so the Monday open becomes 02:05 Ashgabat time. See Exness trading hours.

Leverage, risk and scams

Maximum leverage depends on your equity and the entity serving you (leverage guide) and magnifies losses as well as gains. Be wary of anyone offering to "manage" your account or promising fixed returns, and never share your password or a one-time code.
